Flexible Keyboard

July 22nd, 2006 by Liam in PC Gadgets

Flexible Keyboard
The Flexible Keyboard is sort of an odd, yet very interesting gadget. Just like the name says it is a flexible keyboard which can easily be rolled up and carried with you.

The keyboard is perfect for portability and it’s also incredibly durable. It is constructed of high quality silicon which makes it very flexible yet tough enough to be shoved into a laptop bag so you can always have a good keyboard with you if you can’t stand the flat keys on laptops.

Skype Wi-Fi Phone

July 22nd, 2006 by Liam in Mobile Phones

Skype Wi-Fi PhoneLiam's Gadget of the Week
This is a very neat little Skype Wi-Fi Phone. It looks just like a cell-phone but allows you to make calls from your Skype account wherever there is an available wireless network!

Probably the coolest thing about it is that it doesn’t require you to have it connect to a computer, just the network. It has all the skype software on it so you can access your account and make calls to your contacts right from the phone and just use the Wi-Fi network as a connection!

It has a full color screen and is very easy to use allowing you to scroll through contacts and check their status. You can also dial numbers with the keypad, and add contacts. It’s basically just like a mobile version of skype.

Wireless Mail Alert

July 22nd, 2006 by Al in Home Automation, Home Gadgets

Mail AlertWe don’t really have mailboxes in the UK (letterboxes work absolutely fine and paperboys need the extra exercise anyway) however if we did I’d want one of these, the Wireless Mail Alert. Read the rest of this entry »

Air Soccer

July 22nd, 2006 by Liam in Toys

Air Soccer
This is a very cool gadget which I would like to try. The Air Soccer disk is a floating disk which is almost like a larger game of air hockey which you can play anywhere there is a smooth surface! It works sort of like a small hover craft as it floats on its own self-generated cushion of air. This allows you to play all kinds of games with it such as hockey, soccer, even bowling if you wanted to.

You just switch it on, give it a push, kick or hit of some kind and you’re off to a fun game of whatever you want. It is also perfect for playing indoors as it has an outer rim which will protect walls or furniture from being damaged.

Silent Light Phone Sensor

July 21st, 2006 by Liam in Home Gadgets

Silent Light Phone Sensor
This would be a very handy gadget to have if you have a baby or otherwise want to keep a quiet house. The Silent Light Phone Sensor replaces your phone’s ringer with a soft yet easily noticeable blue LED light.

It’s very simple to install this gadget, it is simply hooked into your phone so you can be seeing your calls rather than hearing them in no time. When you receive a call it will light up with enough light for you to notice but not enough to be annoying. All four sides of the light are illuminated as well so you don’t need to worry about being on the wrong side of the room.

It’s also very easy to fit into wherever you need it as it is only 4″ tall. Included with the light is a 7 1/2 ft. phone cord so you could put it in the most visible location.

I think this gadget could save a lot of stress caused by crying children who were woken up from their naps.

This helpful gadget is available for $19.95 from One Step Ahead. If you want complete quite, you can also get the similar gadget that blocks door bell sounds and replaces them with light available here.

Drumsticks With Built in Speakers

July 21st, 2006 by Stephen in Electronic Gadgets, Toys

Drumsticks with built in speakersEveryone has wanted a drum kit at some stage in life. Yet for most of us, we will never have one because of lack of money, space and possibly talent. It looks so cool when you see an experienced drummer in action, definitely attractive to the ladies.

I saw this gadget and thought, yeah, I want one of those! It’s not a useless gadget like a lot of others, it actually is a really cool gadget. It’s like playing air guitar except it’s not a guitar, its drums, and you don’t imagine a tune, you can hear one!

Desktop Air Conditioner

July 21st, 2006 by Randal in Miscellaneous Gadgets

The Desktop Air Conditioner

I have never been one to adorn my office with trinkets from home. I walk past cubes cluttered with pictures of vacations, smiling children, pseudo funny cut out sayings of other people’s humor and various personal knick knacks. That stuff is not for me and I think it stems from all the time I spent as a consultant. My consultant days were spent in sweltering north Texas where IT people live an underground mole-like existence during the summer months. Dress codes are seldom relaxed so that means underground parking and staying in for lunch unless you want to feel like Alex Rebar in the Incredible Melting Man. The desktop air conditioner ought to be as common as laptops among consultants.

Propeller MP3 Speakers

July 21st, 2006 by Liam in Audio/Video Gadgets

Propeller MP3 Speakers
I really like this gadget. It’s very handy and portable but gives you a good amount of musical power so you can share your music wherever you are! The Propeller MP3 Speakers are a trio of small speakers which easily plug directly into your MP3 player with no wires!

It’s a very compact system as it folds into a small tube and easily unfolds into a mini tripod of speakers. They’re also very easy to use, only requiring that you plug it in and switch it on.
