Crows Nest Anti-Pirate UAV

by Mark R - on May 10, 2010

I found this interesting concept vehicle this morning, but I don’t think it is properly named. It is called the Crows Nest Anti-Pirate UAV.

Now, you are probably thinking that this is some new Unmanned Aerial Vehicle that is designed to take out pirates. Sounds cool, doesn’t it? Like some sort of brand-new series like Pirate Busters. It could be fictional action show or reality show.

However, you should know that this UAV is just 12 inches tall and 24 inches long. Yeah, that’s sort of like sending a model airplane to hit someone in the face. I suppose that could knock the wind out of a pirate. Best case scenerio, it could knock them off of the ship.

Pool Luminary dives and floats

by Ally - on May 10, 2010

There are a whole lot of gadgets that can be used to make a miniature light show inside of your bath tub.  That’s great for anyone who takes baths instead of showers on a very regular basis, but it still makes it so the light show isn’t enjoyed by many.  Instead you should get something for your pool and then all of your guests can enjoy the colorful display of lights.

Loftbox 101 folds your meeting place into a box

by Mark R - on May 10, 2010

Some of you might remember when we covered the gentleman in Hong Kong who could shift his walls around in his 344 square foot apartment to make it a 24-room mansion.

This is the Loftbox 101, a “one stop” room. As you can see, it looks like something that you would see in a passenger train.

What you don’t see is that this seat and bench with the really drab color can fold itself up into an ottoman like contraption that takes up far less room than this.

Wall Climbing RC Lady Bug

by Edwin - on May 9, 2010

Lady bugs are our friends in the gardens, so why not bring home a little cheer to your kid with the Wall Climbing RC Lady Bug? This unique remote controlled toy features a cute lady bug design that is capable of defying gravity by climbing all over your walls and even ceilings, and it could freak mom out if she failed to realize that this is a toy. Of course, that could also mean running the risk of her taking a fly swatting and giving your $9.30 purchase a nice hit, good thing it isn’t too expensive to replace either. It clings to the walls via its built-in suction capability on the feet that can be turned on or off at fancy, which is a good thing since it helps you conserve battery power.

Coffee Cup Sphere Lamp

by Ally - on May 9, 2010

If you’re a coffee addict, then you’ve gone through your fair shar of disposable coffee cups.  Now instead of trashing them constantly and contributing to the local dump’s size, you can use those cups to add a little bit of lighting in your home.  Then after the project is finished you’ll have a very modern looking disco ball.  To get one you’ll just have to follow the Instructables tutorial and make your own.

Oasis Solar Stainless Steel Lantern

by Ally - on May 9, 2010

When you’re out camping it just kills the mood entirely to refill your gadgets with new batteries.  It’s way better if you can manage to go without changing batteries or plugging things in.  This solar lantern will allow for you to keep your light source juiced and working all night long.  Of course it looks like something you’d find at space camp instead of a camp in the middle of the woods, but at least you’ll be battery-free.
