New Digimon toys coming your way
I remember back in the heydays where Pokemon really took off, and there were a slew of other “monster” franchises that made an appearance as well. Digimon was one of them which actually hung around long enough to become a respectable brand of its own while picking up a fair bit of followers in the process, although I never really found that “brand” of monsters appealing. Many years later, it looks as though Digimon is here to stay with Bandai America releasing a whole new line of action figures and role-play toys that target boys in the age group of 4 to 8. You will also be able to catch hold of popular toys such as the new Digivice Data Link and DNA metal chip-laced action figures.

Nvidia GeForce 9 series coming soon
Looks like Nvidia is prepping itself to roll out its first GeForce 9 series graphics chip known as the GeForce 9600 GT on February 21st.
The 9600 GT adopts a 65nm process and is manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The GPU sees an increase in processing units, 64, and memory bus width, 256-bit, over previous 8600 GTS cards, 32 and 128-bit. The GPU’s performance should see an increase of over 40% compared to the 8600 GTS, said the sources. The new GPU also introduces Dual-Streaming Decode technology which allows two high-definition image decoding processes to be performed at the same time and provides picture in picture (PIP) functionality.
Thankfully, you won’t have to fork out so much for this sweet spot graphics card as it will retail between $169 and $189.
LG not giving up HD DVD support
While HD DVD is a dead and buried format, LG won’t surrender just yet as they felt it “necessary to provide a player which supports both formats and therefore creates simplicity and convenience for the existing HD DVD consumer.” At least early adopters can heave a sigh of relief, knowing that should their HD DVD player actually break down, there is always LG’s combo players that does Blu-ray as well, allowing one to enjoy either format without worrying about which format film studio magnates prefer to support. Will we see HD DVD loyalists support LG to such an extent for this lifeline where every other home appliance will then be an LG product?

T-Mobile offers a buffet
T-Mobile has decided to offer a buffet style of calls, where $99.99 will net you unlimited calling and text messages from the 21st of this month onwards. Guess this move can be seen from a mile away, as T-Mobile is finally on par with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and Helio where an unlimited call plan is concerned. Thankfully this one allows you to type till your tiny QWERTY keyboard gets all faded and thin without having to fork out an additional cent. Imagine – you’re basically paying T-Mobile for the right to spam.

Flying Monkeys
Mention flying monkeys and you’ll probably think of a circus – and here we have a plastic launcher of equally plastic monkeys, but just like their real world counterpart, they generally make a nuisance of themselves.
While flying monkeys were introduced to the public many, many years ago, this is the world’s first authentic flying monkey launcher. Just load one of the 1″ long plastic winged, fez-wearing monkeys into the 5-3/4″ long plastic catapult device and pull the trigger to propel the primate! Four plastic monkeys included.
This cute little playtime tool can be Junior’s for $5.49, only if his miserly dad has the heart to part with such money.
