Put those grocery bags to use with this strange chair

One thing I hate when getting back from the grocery store is that I’m left with half a dozen plastic bags. I know that they have other uses, so I have a small stash of them, however, most get tossed in the trash. My wife has been considering picking up some reusable bags because they are more environmentally-friendly. I’m inclined to agree with her. However, another solution would be to get a Grocery Bag Chair.

Trekstor holds data, opens beer bottles
Now this is definitely one of the more useful drinking gadgets that I’ve come across in a long time, especially when I keep myself entertained in front of the PC with some pizza and beer in hand. No longer do I need to take a walk to the kitchen to pick up a bottle opener, as this Trekstor USB flash drive will be able to do that for me. You won’t find me complaining about the 8GB worth of storage space inside, either. No idea on how much it costs though.

Hayabusa used to power Go Kart

Even great Formula 1 drivers like Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton start from karting, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t have the luxury of sitting on this Hayabusa-powered Go Kart. For those who are not in the know, a Hayabusa has held the record for being the fastest production motorcycle in the world for many years in its history, so you can imagine what happens when a Hayabusa engine is placed in a Go Kart. No amount of mushrooms in Mario Kart will be able to outrace this monster, that’s for sure.

Wii Crossbow with Laser Sight
Link’s Crossbow Training is a game which was bundled in with the Wii Zapper. The Wii Zapper was supposed to be the crossbow used from the Legend of Zelda and the game is designed to help you better your crossbow skills. One problem with the Zapper is that it looks nothing like a crossbow. DealExtreme now have on sale a Crossbow designed for the Wii which also has a laser sight attached to it. Unfortunately a little ball is attached to the end of the arrow for some reason, but the ability to use a laser sight with the crossbow makes you quickly forget the weird random ball.

Laser Harp built from scratch
Now here’s a musical instrument that will definitely make your day – a Laser Harp. Created by Stephen Hobley, this guy was inspired by Jean Michael Jarre stringing his highly theatrical Laser Harp live 22 years ago, and has finally achieved his dream of building one just like it. The Laser Harp can be built for less than $600, although you will need to pick up the $19 Laser Harp Plans and Source Code first. The “strings” on the Laser Harp doesn’t really make any sound as they’re just triggers for notes that are produced on a MIDI. Can someone make a Laser Guitar to woo a 21st century Juliet?

Mug tells you the temperature

There is nothing quite like sipping on a cup of hot coffee in the morning, but how many of us are alert enough the moment we get out of bed to know that something is hot/cold? With this Hot-Cold Mug, you will be able to tell the difference verbally, as it is capable of changing its color gradually from total white to black, where the former indicates that it is as hot as the surface of the sun itself while the latter means there is no more heat left in the coffee. The Hot-Cold Mug retails for $25 a pop and makes for a great office present.
Camera sees through clothes
A British company has come up with a camera that surprisingly enough, goes against all things prude in Britain. This unique camera has the special ability to detect various items such as weapons, drugs and even explosives hidden under one’s clothes from up to 25 meters away, making this a potential breakthrough where the security industry is concerned. Dubbed the T5000 camera from ThruVision, it utilizes “passive imaging technology” that helps identify objects via their natural electromagnetic rays, also known as Terahertz or T-rays which are emitted.
