miBook Digital Instruction Booklet

by Mark R - on June 20, 2008

Every once in a while, you need more help than just a step-by-step instruction booklet. No, you need to have something that literally shows you how to do something with video footage.

This why people need something like the miBook. There really isn’t anything new about the design of this product, it is a simple PDA with a seven inch touchscreen.

What is unique about the miBook is the way it is being marketed. A recent Circuit City ad showed the MiBook as a kit that includes Two Food Network Cooking Titles. I believe the MiBook is designed to be some type of digital instruction booklet with helpful video footage.

The Recycled Record CD Case

by Ally - on June 20, 2008

One Etsy seller has a cute and definitely eco friendly idea to make use of those old records.  The seller artyfakt takes the recycled records and sleeves and creates a box for CDs.  Which almost seems a bit late.  Isn’t it time that we start making holders for our USB drives out of old CD cases?  Either way, if you’re for reusing old items, then this little box would likely work well for more than CDs.  I think anymore I own all of four actual CDs.  To which there isn’t a case for a single one, I just have a book for them.  It just seems a bit ridiculous to have the plastic cases sitting around when  book takes up so much less room.

USB Digital Microscope

by Edwin - on June 20, 2008

So it is a Friday afternoon, and you just can’t wait for work to finish so that you can go home and unwind, waiting for Croatia to bundle fighters Turkey out of the Euro 2008 tournament before you see the Dutch dismantle the Russians. In order to pass some time at the office, why not pick up this $70 USB Digital Microscope? Powered by your computer’s USB port, you will be able to use it to check on just how much bacteria there is around your desk, perform a quick scalp check on your colleague’s head while role-playing as Jane Goodall. It is capable of magnification from 10x up to 200x, so I’ll let your imagination run wild on what exactly you would like to see.

Sony HDR-CX12 Handycam

by Edwin - on June 20, 2008

Sony wants to grab top spot in the camcorder industry by releasing the first high definition camcorder that comes with both Smile Shutter and face detection technologies. This new camcorder, known as the HDR-CX12, is able to record video in full High Definition (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) while capturing picture perfect 10 megapixel photos as long as there is still space to spare on the Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo/Memory Stick PRO Duo Mark2 inside. The HDR-CX12 is also impossibly small, sharing the rough measurements as that of a soda can (2.8″ x 5.3″ x 2.8″), making it a snap to carry around whenever you head off for the next destination.

Ego Street Scoota

by Edwin - on June 20, 2008

You know how it is these days – the insane price of oil has driven virtually everything up, save for our salaries. Heck, it used to be dirt cheap filling up cars with gas, and right now at $4 a gallon in most places across the US, motorists are complaining about gas stations being virtual highway robbers as they stop short of taking your firstborn in exchange for a full tank of gas. What are some of the alternatives? A bicycle would be too slow to commute across longer distances, while a motorcycle isn’t environmentally friendly and sips some gas as well. There is always the Ego Street Scoota to save the day – an electric scooter that costs no more than a thousand quid. Can’t believe your ears (and eyes)? Read on then.

Wayne Tech Mega Cape

by Edwin - on June 19, 2008

I was never really impressed with Batman and his cape – this is just an extremely smart industrialist who has plenty of money to dish around, performing his acts of justice under the cover of a cape and a mask without any real superpowers to shout about. Fans of the Dark Knight beg to differ, as they hold Bruce Wayne and his alter ego in almost reverential regard. The Wayne Tech Mega Cape ought to be the perfect gift come Christmas.

With one touch, the cape rapidly expands to a 5″ wingspan just like The Dark Knight. When finished, you can quickly retract the cape back into a convenient back harness for run-around play. This really has to be seen to be believed!

I have a feeling that not only adults will be enamored by this £34.99 cape.
