The Tristar Massage Chair would be great for Sundays

by Ally - on June 22, 2008

The weekend is almost over, I know, I’m sorry to remind you.  However, you’ll need to do whatever possible to relax today to make it through the week to come.  You know the silly little chair pad that you can slap on your desk chair or put on your car seat for long drives?  It’s nifty because you get a nice cheap massage and none of the troubles of having to go to a masseuse.  First of all with a masseuse you have to pay for them, which is just ludicrous.  Then you have the awkward factor of what type of person do you want to be alone in a room with, while they rub on you.  Granted it feels great, but some people do have an issue with that.

Jetsleeper Turns Economy Class Seating Into Sleepy Land

by AndrewD - on June 20, 2008

Forget about it. If I’m on a plane these days, there is just no method for allowing my brain to relax enough to sleep. And not for the reasons you think. Security fears are one thing, but economy class seating is clearly not getting any more comfortable. Even with a airport mandated pillow, our heads just feel a little too far projected in front of our bodies to take a nap.

This helpful gadget might be able to help people like me, who are used to sleeping in a comfortable bed rather than a stiff, awkwardly padded airplane seating scheme. The Jetsleeper is a gadget specifically designed to help flight passengers get some shut eye before they reach their destination. For traveling through timezones, getting enough sleep could spell the difference between being alert and being totally jet lagged.

Innovelis releases BudFits

by Edwin - on June 20, 2008

Chances are the iPod (and now possibly iPhone) would be pretty popular devices to bring along with you while you engage in a form of vigorous exercise (swimming doesn’t count unless you’re rocking to a waterproof case and earphones), but that can result in the earbuds falling out. A minor irritant, but still irritating nonetheless. The BudFits from Innovelis solves this problem as described.

Constructed of soft, flexible rubber, BudFits snap onto Apple earbuds and then wrap over the top of the ear. In doing so, they ensure iPod and iPhone earbuds will not fall out and also maximize user comfort by eliminating the need to wedge earbuds into the ear canal to keep the earbuds in place. BudFits quickly snap onto earbuds to provide extra support and comfort, yet they can be easily removed for times when extra support and comfort is not necessary.

BudFits are compatible with all iPod and iPhone earbuds made by Apple, and prices hover between the affordable $8.99 to $9.99 range.

AMD enters low cost PC market

by Edwin - on June 20, 2008

AMD looks like it is a spent force today, pretty much like how its graphics arm, ATi is compared to Intel and NVIDIA, respectively. Still, kudos to the folks at AMD for keeping some semblance of check and balance in the processor wars. AMD will be working on a processor to penetrate the low-cost PC market which is currently being dominated by the Intel Atom and Via Technology Nano processors. These new offerings from AMD will support 6-bit instructions and based on their previous generation K8 architecture. You will get a capped speed of 1.2GHz in the single-core model, manufactured under the 65nm process. If AMD were to stand any chance of making an impact, they’d best price it just below Intel’s Atom IMHO.

Casio EX-Z9

by Mark R - on June 20, 2008

A few months ago, Casio introduced the EX-Z9, and I had a chance to try it out. The camera has 8.1 megapixels of image resolution, and has a 3x optical zoom.

I was amazed that it worked so easily from out of the box. I was ready to take pictures as soon as it was done charging on the included charging station. Easy is definitely the rule as the EX-Z9 was clearly designed with the consumer in mind.

One of the best features is the YouTube Capture mode, which allows videos to be recorded and then uploaded onto the famous video clip site in just three simple steps.

Record music from the radio with an Intempo Rebel

by Ally - on June 20, 2008

Back in the 90′s when cassette tapes were all the rage (and people said things like “all the rage”) it was common for people to keep a blank tape in their boombox so as to catch their favorite song playing on the radio. That seemed fairly harmless, and it’s doubtful that the MPAA ever considered taking action on anyone for doing that. However, using this radio to record music might land you in some hot water.
