Unichal dixau concept dictionary

Dictionaries come in two formats these days – digital and in a traditional book form. Unichal of Korea has come up with a new concept known as ‘dixau’, featuring an integrated English dictionary within which displays its content on the computer monitor complete with an authentic native speaker voice to read out the word you click the dixau on. The dixau supposedly supports up to 17 dictionaries by hooking it up to the Internet. It will retail for less than a Benjamin, making it a great purchase for folks who are trying to pick up the English language without thumbing through dust-laden dictionaries.

iPhone gets suite of applications
The iPhone is definitely one of the more popular cell phones in the world at this point in time, at least in the mid-range group and above. After all, with the impending release of the 3G iPhone, you can bet your bottom dollar (or whatever denomination) that come July 11th, there will be a frenzy for this new handset, never mind the blood-sucking 2-year contract attached with it in certain places. With a phone this magical, surely there must be something more than the looks and ease-of-use that drives it? I believe that software on the iPhone does play a role in its huge popularity, and having said that, I would like to draw your attention to iPhoneApps – a ground-breaking, unique new software application product that features a generous choice of 10 of the most popular and commonly used PC applications that run non your iPhone. Sounds perfect for the casual computer user who dreads carrying around a laptop just to type a short letter on Microsoft Word.

Bank Quest Piggy Bank
Spending money is a favorite past time for many, but when it comes to saving, most of us are in a quandary. After all, the benefits are not there to be seen currently, but will only be reaped many years down the road (especially when you want to drop a downpayment for that lovely apartment you have targeted for your family). This Bank Quest piggy bank helps kids (and some adults) save their pennies for a rainy day as it features a built-in RPG game. You can power up your character by purchasing various items such as weapons and armor as long as you continue to drop coins inside. You can technically save up to 50,000 yen inside, which translates to roughly half a thousand greenbacks. The Bank Quest Piggy Bank will hit retail stores this August in Japan.

USB Necktie Cooler

Thanko, the USB accessory demigods has yet another offering that you will find interesting, what with the summer creeping up. This time around, they have released the USB Necktie Cooler which features a tiny plastic fan integrated into the tie’s knot. Each time the tie is plugged into any available (powered) USB port, the fan will come to life, keeping you cool despite the sweltering heat all around. Of course, if there isn’t any computer in the vicinity, you can always rely on a quartet of AAA batteries instead. This silk-based tie will retail for $28, while the tie and the battery pack set is slightly more expensive at $34. Unfortunately, this is but a Japan-only release.

Boingo Kiosk offers travelers a chance to go online
Folks who are dropping by O’Hare International Airport in Chicago will be able to make a pit stop at the Boingo Kiosk. What happens here? Well, for starters you will be able to charge your cell phones and printers before you hop onto the next Economy Class flight, print color documents before you board, or even go online. I thought most airports already have an online service of sorts (as to whether they are free or not, that’s another story for another day), but it is nice to see yet another online service provider at such a public place. Those who are interested will need to take note that the Boingo kiosk is located at Terminal 2.

Pyramid time clock with Ethernet connectivity
Pyramid time clocks have the tendency to remain at the top of the sales charts where employee time attendance systems are concerned. This time round, they have been given an update – they now incorporate Ethernet connectivity that makes for easier, faster and more accurate data transferring. Instead of relying on the old system where time management consisted of using a singular time clock station and paper time cards to punch in and out, this new system revolutionizes the way things are done. No longer do managers need to count up and add employee hours, and when overtime and holiday pay are thrown into the fray, things get all the more confusing and tedious. The future of employee time attendance systems like in the digital format, where clocking in involves swiping a card ala credit card, or entering your identification into a computer or keypad.

It works in the same way any of the other solar lamps works, it just happens to house a plant as well. The odd little pot comes in either a chic looking white or the slightly geeky alternative which flashes between several different colors. When you’re committed to being a bit of a gadget addict, you can’t have a pot that doesn’t do some other function besides hold a plant.
