In-Use Indicator

July 23rd, 2006 by Liam in Home Gadgets

In-Use Indicator
This is a gadget that I can’t believe isn’t part of a standard phone. I find the most annoying thing when you want to make a call is when you pick up the phone and there’s already someone talking on it. It’s even more annoying when you start dialing without listening to see if it’s clear too ;) .

The In-Use Indicator easily solves this annoying problem. It simply lights up a red LED light when the line is in use, just as simple as that.

Wireless Garage Sentry

July 23rd, 2006 by Liam in Home Gadgets

Wireless Garage Sentry
This gadget would be very handy if you don’t like having to go and check your garage door at night to see if it’s open. The Wireless Garage Sentry tells you the status of your garage door from anywhere in your house!

It consists of a receiver and sensor/transmitter. The sensor works the same way that the sensors on most new garage doors do when they check if there is anything under the door. This sensor is aimed at the door, however, so it can detect whether or not it is open.

Ride On (your suitcase)

July 22nd, 2006 by Stephen in Miscellaneous Gadgets

Ride On

Kids and airports don’t mix. Your tired and you just want to sleep, your baby is crying because they are bored, meanwhile every one who passes you gets annoyed by the constant crying. If you are on your own traveling with a child, you will know exactly what I’m talking about. You can’t possibly be expected to carry your luggage and a buggy with a screaming baby. We all know the wheels on buggy’s never steer straight and you end up having to force it to go the way you want as well as pushing your luggage around.

Flexible Keyboard

July 22nd, 2006 by Liam in PC Gadgets

Flexible Keyboard
The Flexible Keyboard is sort of an odd, yet very interesting gadget. Just like the name says it is a flexible keyboard which can easily be rolled up and carried with you.

The keyboard is perfect for portability and it’s also incredibly durable. It is constructed of high quality silicon which makes it very flexible yet tough enough to be shoved into a laptop bag so you can always have a good keyboard with you if you can’t stand the flat keys on laptops.

Skype Wi-Fi Phone

July 22nd, 2006 by Liam in Mobile Phones

Skype Wi-Fi PhoneLiam's Gadget of the Week
This is a very neat little Skype Wi-Fi Phone. It looks just like a cell-phone but allows you to make calls from your Skype account wherever there is an available wireless network!

Probably the coolest thing about it is that it doesn’t require you to have it connect to a computer, just the network. It has all the skype software on it so you can access your account and make calls to your contacts right from the phone and just use the Wi-Fi network as a connection!

It has a full color screen and is very easy to use allowing you to scroll through contacts and check their status. You can also dial numbers with the keypad, and add contacts. It’s basically just like a mobile version of skype.

Wireless Mail Alert

July 22nd, 2006 by Al in Home Automation, Home Gadgets

Mail AlertWe don’t really have mailboxes in the UK (letterboxes work absolutely fine and paperboys need the extra exercise anyway) however if we did I’d want one of these, the Wireless Mail Alert. Read the rest of this entry »

Air Soccer

July 22nd, 2006 by Liam in Toys

Air Soccer
This is a very cool gadget which I would like to try. The Air Soccer disk is a floating disk which is almost like a larger game of air hockey which you can play anywhere there is a smooth surface! It works sort of like a small hover craft as it floats on its own self-generated cushion of air. This allows you to play all kinds of games with it such as hockey, soccer, even bowling if you wanted to.

You just switch it on, give it a push, kick or hit of some kind and you’re off to a fun game of whatever you want. It is also perfect for playing indoors as it has an outer rim which will protect walls or furniture from being damaged.
