iBreath Alcohol Breathalyzer for your iPhone or iPod
Just when you thought that iPod accessories consist of nothing but cases, speaker docks and earphones, along comes the iBreath Alcohol Breathalyzer. This is pretty much a self-explanatory device – it allows you to take your own alcohol breath test before your brain cells decide that it is better to catch a cab home instead of attempting to rush headlong into a DUI charge.
The iBreath Alcohol Breathalyzer does not require any batteries to run as it sips power off the iPod it is connected to, and all functions as well as results are shown on the iBreath LCD display. It has a BAC range of 0.000 to 0.100% and comes with a timer to let you know when’s the next time for a test. Nice to see it comes with an integrated FM transmitter as well, transmitting your favorite iPod tunes to just about any FM tuner.
Tikitag DIY RFID tag kit from Firebox
Firebox has made available the revolutionary Tikitag, touted to be the first commercially available DIY RFID tag kit to the masses. This piece of high-tech wizardry enables users to connect real world items to online electronic applications, opening up the doors to unlimited, on-the-spot information at a single touch.
Utilizing Near Fields Communications Technology (NFC), Tikitags increase the value of everyday items. Simply attach a tiny tag to pretty much any object and through www.tikitag.com, users can add potentially limitless amounts of information to it, which can therefore be read by any online NFC reader and automatically spurt out information in a number of different environments. Just think, a Tikitag could be added to business cards which once read, could link directly to further company bumf or even that persons Facebook account! Or, in an outdoor environment a visitor to an art gallery could wave his NFC enabled phone at a Banksy print and find out some more about his lowly beginnings as a butcher!
The original set will comprise of a USB-enabled NFC reader and 10 DIY NFC tags. These tags require no batteries to run, and it is expected that the NFC market will grow significantly in due time. You will be able to pick up the Tikitag for £39.95 per set.

Philips Norelco Bodygroom BG2030
I had a chance to try out the new Bodygroom BG2030 from Philips and Norelco, and I have to say that my face has never been so smooth. It was only afterward that I discovered that the Bodygroom is actually designed for all areas below the neck.
However, it worked on my face! What can I say, the product does above and beyond its capacity. If you don’t believe me, check out some before and after pics of a now handsomer blogger after the jump.
The Bodygroom is designed for “sensitive areas” like the underarms, chest, legs, back, and the (ahem) groin area. In case you are worried about cutting yourself, there is a hypoallergenic shaving foil for some extra protection. It can be used for wet and dry shaving, and runs for about 50 minutes on an eight hour charge.

A Map that is also a Light
This next concept device is so odd that I just had to report on it. This device, which is simply called The Light, is an ordinary map that, when rolled up like a kid’s pretend telescope, will become a flashlight.
How does something like this work? First, the map is not an ordinary map, but two sheets of paper. On one of these sheets is the actual printed map itself, while the other is a cover sheet with two electrodes.
Second, simply roll up the map so the two electrodes meet, and this union turns the built-in LEDs on. This device is powered by a thin battery that fits in between the two sheets.

The Simpsons Poke Fun at Apple
For almost twenty years, The Simpsons has been poking fun at American culture. Last Sunday, they satirized three things that are a long time coming: Apple, iPods, and Steve Jobs.
To protect themselves from copyrights, The Simpsons called the Apple store a “Mapple store”, substituted “My” for every “i” on the most well-known Apple products, and even had an appearance by Steve Mobs (do I need to explain the joke here?).
Since a picture says a thousand words, I definitely invite readers to check out a clip of the episode (“Mypods and Broomsticks”) after the jump. What the clip doesn’t show is when Lisa gets her first MyPod bill that is over $1,000.
