The USB Balloon Speaker comes in five different colors

by Ally - on January 26, 2009

Finding that perfect speaker to go along with your MP3 player can be tough if you’re picky.  Everyone has their favorite style, some like the odd and others prefer to keep things simple.  Well this Music Balloon offers a simplistic design, and comes in a wide range of colors to make sure you find the speaker that fits you the best.  This by no means offers an intriguing or interesting design, but it will at least keep your music going wherever you’re at.

The Anemone Large Suspension Light

by Ally - on January 25, 2009

If you have plenty of ceiling room, you could pick up this pendant light. It will fill up plenty of head room, and make sure that your room will by no means look empty. It’s definitely a contemporary style light and comes in a variety of colors. It looks a bit like a light that should be featured in some futuristic movie, but that will probably add to the appeal for a great deal of people.

The Mini Hydro Clock

by Ally - on January 25, 2009

If you like having a clock around that you know you can rely on, this one will stay powered even after the power has been out for a month.  The clock has no fancy extras, it doesn’t do any interesting tricks, it doesn’t even double as an alarm clock.  It just displays the time, which isn’t that exciting, but the way that it keeps powered is the interesting part.  We’ve shown eco-friendly clocks before, a couple that have been powered by water.  This one can be powered by water, but it has other ways to be powered as well.

The BoomDesk with built-in speakers

by Ally - on January 25, 2009

Although having your designated desk is nice, sometimes you need to work in other areas of your house.  Be it because you need to watch the kids or watch dinner, it’s nice to able to move what you’re working on and hang out on the couch with it.  This BoomDesk helps you with exactly that, in many ways.  The deep compartments hidden underneath the desk lid would make switching rooms quick and easy.  It would also be great for kids to do their homework on, especially kids that share a room and can’t seem to do their homework when their sibling is around.

Frog-to-Prince transformation kit thrills little girls

by Edwin - on January 25, 2009

Most of us have heard of this joke before – a frog meets up with a fortune teller to find out what’s in store for the new year, only to have an extremely optimistic outlook of a beautiful lady who takes such an interest in the frog while overlooking other more suitable candidates around her as a life partner. Little did the frog realize that he was going to end up as a specimen in the biology lab! Well, this Frog-to-Prince transformation kit should be reserved only for little girls who have a fondness for the particular fairy tale that involved a tryst between a human and an amphibian. It takes around 72 hours for the frog to turn into a 4″ prince, and there is no word of any reversion. For $6, this is one of the more interesting items you can pick up online.

Hello Kitty keyboard – fancy but hurts the wallet

by Edwin - on January 25, 2009

Sanrio really knows how to do a good job out of wringing cash from your pocket – the Hello Kitty keyboard you see here will definitely appeal to all you Hello Kitty fans out there, while the rest of the haters will probably do their very best to avert their gaze to something more worthwhile, no thanks to the extremely girlish design in a red and white color combination complete with the mouthless Hello Kitty’s face printed on it. Apart from the apparent cuteness, I’m pretty sure you can get way more value than what is on offer for $104, like a really cool gaming keyboard from Razer or Logitech, perhaps?

Jobo photoGPS reviewed

Jobo (finally) launched the PhotoGPS at Photonika last year, nearly a year after it’s initial announcement and we’ve been putting one though it’s paces for the past month or so. The production model is certainly slimmed down from the early design but how well does it work?

The answer to that question can be found, as always, on our sister site coolest reviews.
