FOOSH Energy Mints

January 12th, 2006 by Anita in Wacky Gadgets

foosh
Okay, technically these little mints are not gadgets but since they are a new innovative product that is not for what you would think, they are not mints that give you fresh breath.

What these cool mints do for you is give you as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. Therefore, if you are at work and wearing down, becoming bored listening to your professor or are feeling sluggish while you are driving you can just eat a mint, literally. One of these energy mints will give you that extra boost with a blend of power from caffeine, ginseng, taurine and five B vitamins. You will not have to pull over to a truck stop to a cup of Joe, or wait until your break between classes or your 15-minute break at work to get some energy back into your system.

iPod Belt Buckle

January 12th, 2006 by Al in Audio/Video Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

ipod belt buckle
This is yet another quirky iPod accessory, that enables you to wear your iPod in a belt buckle, though I think you’d have to ask your self the question “Why?“.

The iPod belt buck AKA the TuneBuckle is made from leather and “high grade metals”, it’s not available yet but you can pre-order for $49.95.

NB - It only fits the nano model

Glowing Planet Necklace

January 11th, 2006 by Al in Wacky Gadgets

Fuse Crystal World
This looks a bit tacky to say the least. The Crystal Fuze Necklace is a Swarovski crystal that contains an LED, which should really bring attention to the fact that you’re wearing cheap and tacky jewelry.

If you really want to read more about it, follow the link.

Room Defender

January 8th, 2006 by Anita in Home Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets, Spy Stuff, Toys, Wacky Gadgets

roomdefender
You probably have tried everything in your power to keep your parents out of your room or maybe your spouse out of your closet and nothing seems to be working. You have asked nicely, placed signs on your door, and maybe even yelled quite a bit about having your own privacy. However, when you are not around, they seem to still go in and search through your stuff. Well, not any more!

With the Room Defender to protect your room or closet or even your office you will be able to keep a few more things private. The Room Defender is mounted on three gun-turrets like legs and will protect your stuff from spies.

The way that it works is that the Room Defender has a motion sensor alarm, when someone enters an area that you do not want them in, it will first give a verbal warning and then fire a shot at them in the form of a foam disc.

UberOrbs

January 8th, 2006 by Anita in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

UberOrbs
These little gadgets will keep you busy for hours. You will not have any more boring times while you are just sitting around with nothing to do if you have these guys sitting on your desk.

Many people sit around and doodle on paper while they are talking on the telephone or even while watching television. The reason is they need something else to keep their mind busy. Yes, many people can do more than one thing at a time and these UberOrbs will help keep their mind active and busy.

UberOrbs are magnetic stones that are made from hematite which are more than mere magnets. These magnets are great for compulsive people or someone that just enjoys fiddling. If you pull them apart, they make a “zoing” sound when they quickly join back together. You can throw them into the air and they will zing back together again. You can even hold one in your hand and spin the other one around in all kinds of patterns on your table or desk.

Play Golf get Drunk

January 7th, 2006 by Al in Wacky Gadgets

Golf Club Bottle
I know a fair few golfers and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this is one of their clubs. [tag]Golf[/tag] can be a pretty boring walk which liquid refreshment can only enhance. But as some clubs have strict rules about supping on the green you may need a smuggling device, which is were the Electronic Drinks Caddie may come in handy.

Shaped and sculptured like a traditional 5 iron this drink container holds up to 54 oz of your favourite tipple. They say it can hold hot or cold drinks but I think we know the type of drinker this product is aimed at. This means you no longer need to wait till the 19th hole to relieve the boredom of golf (though when I have the spare time to play I wouldn’t be surprised if I get addicted to the game and will never abuse it again):).

Fork Sculptures

January 4th, 2006 by Al in Wacky Gadgets

fork art
I’m not the most arty of people and I’m often amazed at what people can do with just a few bits of colored chalk. When I came across this site showing sculptures made from good old fashioned dinner forks I was pretty impressed.

There are various pieces, conveniently sorted into different sections (Animals, Band, Humanic, Jewelry etc.) with prices starting from $10 (the most expensive I saw was the Grim Reaper at $1000). They’re pretty unusual pieces to have on your mantle peice and must be a conversation starter, Uri Geller eat your heart out.
