Vitamin C shower!

October 23rd, 2005 by Marc in Home Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

Vitamin C shower
Perhaps we should rename Coolest Gadgets to Strangest Gadgets – certainly a few more entries like this one and there’d be a case for it!

Apparently Vitamin C dechlorinates water as well as being associated with youthful, wrinkle-free skin. Clearly orange juice isn’t an efficient enough delivery mechanism (or perhaps it has different properties when taken internally, what do I know?)

Anyway VitaCShower think you need it dispensed through your shower head. $49.95 gets you 100 hours of dechlorinated anti-ageing goodness. Or something.

Insane Halloween Lights

October 18th, 2005 by Al in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

Halloween Decorations
I know a guy from the forum circuit, that takes his celebration decorations pretty damn seriously. The multitude of lights he puts around his house at Halloween and Christmas is a spectacle to behold. This witching season the total number of lights in his display is 7,148 and it’s not just the sheer number of lights that make it cool but the X10 interactive remote control.

October 17th, 2005 by Al in Wacky Gadgets

Cow Parade
I’m sure you’ve all heard of CowParade the world famous where various artist go around painting, well er cows sculptures. Even though it’s the world’s largest public art event there are still artistic luddites (like me for one) that have never heard of CowParade (oh the shame) but thanks to good old firebox can now get involved too.

Arm Pillows

October 17th, 2005 by Al in Wacky Gadgets

Arm Pillow
Whilst browsing around I recently cam across this in gizmag. It’s a pillow available in Japan that is designed for people (well women) who like to nestle up to an armpit when going to sleep. Basically its a pillow shaped in a half body one arm kind of way, and lets the sleeper snuggle and cuddle when trying to get to sleep.

If you know Japanese you can read and order one here whilst if you’re a bloke you may want to stick with a regular blow up doll ;) .

Personal Sucker

October 13th, 2005 by Al in Wacky Gadgets

Wakmah
This is an interesting gizmo, the WAKMAH (stands for Water-closet Aperture Kinetic Mechanical Activation Handle, though I think personal sucker would be more catchy). Working on the same principle as the suction cup this little gadget is a handle you can take anywhere and attach to any smooth surface.

October 7th, 2005 by Al in Wacky Gadgets

Black Toilet Roll
If this isn’t wacky I don’t know what is, black toilet rolls. I suppose it could be a hit for goths, or people that are blinded by illuminated sinks. Next we’ll be seeing striped paper (guess the color).

Available for $2.50 a roll from Renova of $6 for a six pack a whopping $9 saving.
