Remote Control Mouse

August 16th, 2006 by Liam in Pet Gadgets, Remote Control Toys, Toys

Remote Control Mouse
I used to have a cat and I remember that it was so much fun to dangle a piece of string around for hours marvelling at how long the cat can stay amused by a piece of string. You then, of course, realize that you’ve been dangling a string in front of a cat for an hour; who’s the easily amused one now ;)?

And since you can do pretty much anything else with gadgets, why not entertain your cat with one? The Remote Control Mouse saves your arm from tiring during the strenuous act of dangling a piece of string, while also giving you a little more enjoyment out of playing with your cat.

The mouse looks like a real mouse, although I’m pretty sure your cat won’t be too fussy what it looks like! It even has a really cool little tail on it which your cat can paw at.

Jet Net Remote Control Pool Skimmer
Isn’t it annoying when it’s a hot day and you feel like nothing would be better than a nice swim in your pool, but you get there and all you see is dead bugs and leaves? So you go get the skimmer to start dragging out all the mess out of your pool, wasting time you could be relaxing in the pool.

Shocking Tanks

July 24th, 2006 by Liam in Remote Control Toys, Toys

Shocking Tanks
This sounds like a really fun game which could get very competitive! The shocking tanks game is a game of remote-controlled tanks equipped with infra-red cannons which when they hit the other tank give a quick shock to the person controlling the hit tank.

The tanks have two tracks and move just like real tanks. Each track can be controlled forward or back, and they are also powered by separate motors. You can control each motor with a separate control so you can make your tank pull sharp corners to avoid being hit.

Turbo Fury Mini RC Plane

July 14th, 2006 by Liam in Remote Control Toys, Toys

Turbo Fury Mini RC Plane
Here’s a neat remote control gadget that’s fun and inexpensive. The Turbo Fury Mini RC Plane is designed for the less “hard-core” RC plane enthusiasts.

The plane is very light-weight weighing only 20 grams and is composed mostly of foam so crashes are very forgiving. This gadget is perfect for anyone considering picking up the RC plane hobby, but want to practice first, or it can just be for fun! The plane measures 23cm in length and has a wingspan of 22cm.

USB RC Car Simulator

July 11th, 2006 by Al in Gaming Gadgets, Remote Control Toys, Software, USB Gadgets

USB RC ControllerI’m not sure if this is cool or not. It’s a computer simulation of a remote control car with a realistic high end controller. The Controller connects via USB and is used to control the remote control car on screen.

It does look cool but I’m still left with the feeling that this type of simulation is overkill, I can understand racing games and flight sims as Mr Joe Public isn’t going to get a chance to race an F1 or fly a Tornado but a remote control car is within most peoples grasp and it’s not like there’s a risk of serious injury if you crash it.

Then again the more I look at this the more I want one, so ignore that previous rant :).
