RC Jump Jet takes off
The RC Jump Jet is something different from the standard remote controlled planes and helicopters as it merges the best of both worlds.
It takes off like a helicopter and flies like a plane, using four gyroscopically controlled rotors and a not an inconsiderable amount of flying skill. The swept back wafer thin wings and tail help to control the stability of forward flight, and the multi-directional control allows you to fly in any direction you can think of, and often a few you hadn’t expected. Saying that this is cool is like saying Ricky Gervais is mildly amusing, or that Tiger Woods is quite handy at crazy golf. It’s really quite hard to describe (which is why we’re failing so miserably) just how awesome this indoor flier is. The way it moves through the air makes the Harrier look clumsy – even if it does have more weapons. To keep it light and balanced, the bodywork has been stripped to a minimum, and a twenty minute charge should give you a good ten minutes of the best indoor flying experience you’ve ever had.
The RC Jump Jet is supposedly easy to fly, and you’ll need to fork out £69.95 to find out. Well, it definitely is compared to the real deal, but being unconventional by itself will probably involve a rather steep learning curve, but I’m sure it’ll be fun once you get the hang of it.
Uberstix Universal Building Set

I always love those building block toy sets such as the Erector, K’nex, and the Almighty Lego. The only problem is that these sets are incompatible with each other. However, the Uberstix, a new construction kit toy, is designed to connect to all of the aforementioned building toy brands, even the Zoobs (although I never heard of that one).
The basic Uberstix building set contains about 450 pieces that allow the player to build cool things such as a ray gun, sailboat, and other models. There is a separate kit available for the ultra cool Uberpult, which allows you to fling things. As you can see, all sorts of construction toys are used in the making of these models, even non-construction toy materials such as spoons and even bottled water bottles under the ships.

Huffy’s Green Machine is way better than your old Big Wheel

When I was a kid, I had a few different plastic cars and such that I could ride around on, however, I was almost always drawn to my Big Wheel. I really can’t describe my fascination with the tri-wheeled toy, but I would ride it everywhere. Of course back in those days they were simple toys that merely took you from point A to B and back. Nothing like this awesome Green Machine H20.

The Aeryon Scout: For those God like camera angles
There’s a sweet scene in Star Wars: Clone Wars where Arc Troopers are assaulting a city. Not knowing where the bad droids are, the commander tosses up a floating ball-like camera platform and sends it out on a recon mission. The result is a birds eye view of every nook and cranny where an ambush could happen. A sweet idea that could have great uses in today’s techno efficient military, police surveillance, or even search and rescue. That’s a similar idea behind the Aeryon Scout, fly in the air and give a real time birds eye view via live wireless video feed.

Lego Chess Set will bring back childhood memories

As a child my favorite toys were easily my Legos. There were few other toys that could capture my imagination as those tiny bricks so often did. Then again, it was rare to find something that let you express your creativity as well, either. These days there just isn’t time to sit down and play with them like I used to, however, thanks to this new chess set, I might just have a good excuse to have Legos sitting in my living room.

WiiFit Release Date Finally Announced

I was surprised to see that Coolest Gadgets hasn’t covered the Nintendo WiiFit yet, so I feel obligated to spread the good news of the WiiFit release date to all of our readers. Nintendo has officially announced that the WiiFit will be released on May 19th.
For those of you who are not familiar with the WiiFit, it is a pressure sensitive balance board that allows users to exercise with aerobic, toning, and balance activities, all “supervised” by a virtual trainer.
Not only will the WiiFit do exercise-based games like push-ups, but there are other games that are fun for all ages. For example, a user can wiggle to a virtual hula hoop or play a soccer goalie who is blocking shots with his or her head. Click on the jump to see a video of its features.
