Remote controlled Daleks

It’s hard to imagine that the Daleks have been around since 1963! Now, to capture some of the interest in the new Dr Who episodes, these super-looking remote-controlled models have been released.

Bargain Robot Football Game

June 23rd, 2006 by Al in Football Gadgets, Remote Control Toys, Toys

Robot Football

If you’re like me and enjoy watching football but don’t quite have the required level of skill to play it (only just not quite mind) then robot football could be a good closed season alternative. Read the rest of this entry »

More Cool Finger Drums

June 21st, 2006 by Al in Electronic Gadgets, Toys

Finger Drums 2The finger drums we reported on a few days ago have already been put in the shade by the ones we discovered today.

Today’s finger drums might not have as much electronic wizardry as the last ones we reported on but they do look like a real miniature drum kit (not so sure about the sound though). Each drum also lights up when hit, to get a feel (well look and sound) for what it’s like check out the video.

These finger drums are available at gadgets.dk.

RC Loch Ness monster.

June 16th, 2006 by Paz in Remote Control Toys, Toys

Remote controlled Loch Ness monster.

The legend of the Loch Ness monster has intrigued me since I was a boy when we visited Loch Ness, near Inverness in Scotland. I’m definitely going to buy one of these remote controlled Loch Ness monsters – for my son of course!

I couldn’t find much detail on the original product page, so I had a hunt around using Google, and put a summary of specifications from what I’m fairly certain are the same remote control toy, but I’ll check with the manufacturers later.

Towable Boat Ride

June 13th, 2006 by Al in Sport, Toys

Towable BowlThis looks a little bit safer than the Wego Kite that we reported on a few weeks a go but it still looks a load of wet fun. The big bowl tow-able is a heavy duty inflatable bowl (hence the name) that you sit in and towed across the water at high speed.

You can connect up to 4 of the bowls together so each member of the family can have their own little boat for a leisurely tug or a white water knuckle clenching ride, I know which I’d prefer.

The Big Bowl Towable is available from Hammacher for $259.99.

R/C Film in the Dark Spy Car

June 8th, 2006 by Al in Remote Control Toys, Spy Stuff, Toys

Remote Control Spy CarThis has got to be the coolest spy toy ever, a remote control car with a built in night vision camera that transmits what it sees back to a pair of LCD glasses.

When I was a kid I used to have a spy cardboard suitcase that contained advanced spy kit stuff like a magnifying glass, fingerprint powder and a Morse code book. I’d of killed for one of these spy cars.

I can imagine this toy getting many a kid brother into trouble, followed by a slap off an older sisters friends.

Available now from Hammacher found via blog.scifi.
