Gupi Interactive Guinea Pig

December 13th, 2005 by Anita in Toys, Wacky Gadgets

gupi
If you love those cute and cuddly little guinea pigs but you do not want to have to clean up after them then this cool high tech electronic guinea pig by the name of Gupi is for you.

You may think he is some toy for kids, but you would be so wrong. He has a mind all of his own. He will walk around your house without knocking anything off the tables, bumping into chairs or falling down the stairs. Gupi will give you plenty of interaction and has emotions just like a real guinea pig. Build your Gupi a maze out of cardboard and watch him find his way to freedom.

Since he is like a real pet, he does need attention. When you give him attention, he will become friendlier, when left alone he will learn to run and hide. He will also react to light, touch and noises. As long as you give him plenty of love and affection, he will be content and happy, but if you do not be, will become very lonely and hide away. He does react according to his mood.

Deflexion - Playing with Lasers

December 7th, 2005 by Al in Electronic Gadgets, Toys

Deflexion Game
This is a really original idea for a game IMO. It’s called Deflexion and is a board game unlike any other that I’ve seen.

Like all the best games the rules are very simple and quick to learn but will take an age to master. The aim of the game is to be the first player to shoot your opponents pharaoh with your grade II laser but as you can’t move or aim your laser you need to do a bit laser dancing and bouncing.

Roboraptor

December 2nd, 2005 by Anita in Electronic Gadgets, Toys

roboraptor

You may believe that dinosaurs were extinct until you see these 32 inch long Roboraptor roaming around your home. It is an advanced fusion of technology and personality. It is not just a regular old robot; this Roboraptor is an advanced artificial intelligence with personality, life like biomorphic motions, controlling features or even free roam modes.

If you know, anyone that loves robots or dinosaurs this would be one awesome Christmas gift.

Some of the great features of the Roboraptor include a fluid bi-pedal motion that allows your dinosaur to walk, run and perform predatory gaits. All movements are very realistic while he turns his head and neck and whips his tail. He even has personality; he has the hunter mood, the cautious mood and the playful mood. Other features include mood dependent behavior which are aggressive/hunting, nervous/cautious, and friendly/playful, multi-sensory with touch sensors in his tail, mouth and chin, an infra-red vision that helps him detect items in his path or if someone is trying to sneak up on him, strong jaws for that tug of war game you enjoy, and responds to commands from Robosapien V2.

Illuminated Flying Disc

November 29th, 2005 by Anita in Toys

I bet everyone remembers the Frisbees we all played with our friends and if you were talented, enough you learned all kinds of tricks. You could have played Frisbee with your dog, on the beach, or many other places. The Frisbee was a take along toy that everyone could enjoy and did not take up much room when packing to go for holidays.

The only bad part about our old Frisbees is that when the sun went down so did our fun. Well today, you will be glad to know you can give your children a better Frisbee type toy than you ever got the chance to play with. A matter of fact, you may wish to get one for yourself. In addition, you do not have to quit playing and put up the illuminated flying disc after the sun goes down.

Water Squirting Arm Wrestling Game

November 29th, 2005 by Anita in Toys

armwrestling

If you are like me, you are use to seeing when the guys get together all of them challenging one another to an arm wrestling game. Also, if you are like me you get so tired of just standing there watching them trying to be macho and you sure don’t want to join in.

Well, if you really want to liven up their arm wrestling adventure give them the water squirting arm wrestling game next time they all get together. With this game, you will not mind watching at all since the loser will be even more humiliated because he will get wet.

As they play the game, the squirter arm is pointed at each contestant. Then when the winner hits the squirt ball, the loser will be squirted. Now, that will show those macho men who is the real drip.

rctarantula

All guys love remote controls no matter their age and they all also enjoy all those creepy crawly bugs. Now you can give them a gift they are sure to love since it combines their love of machines and bugs. The remote control Tarantula will give them plenty of hours of fun scaring the neighbor’s wife and kids.

Cool Cube World Stick People

November 26th, 2005 by Al in Toys, Wacky Gadgets

Cube World Skipping Man
These could well be the coolest gadget toy Christmas present this year, little animated stick men in a cube AKA Cube World.

The Cube World cubes are slightly larger than the Q-Be MP3 player but infinitely more fun. Each cube (there are currently 4 different ones to collect) contains a stick character and an accessory, Dodger has a ball, Scoop his own pet dog, Whip has a rope he does tricks with and Slim enjoys playing with a stick (hmm that could be taken the wrong way considering he’s a stick man). The animation to the right really doesn’t do these guys justice.
