Kickin’ Video Soccer

August 23rd, 2006 by Mike in Toys

Kickin' Video SoccerThis is another arcade type post, this time the arcade version isn’t totally addicting, which is always a good thing.

The Kickin’ Video Soccer is a at home version of the game where you get a ball tethered to a rope and try to score on the virtual goalie. It’s pretty cool and can actually be fun, unless you’re losing.

Not only is there game modes, but you can practice your kicks (penalty kicks, too) and corner kicks. The game works because of the mat, it has built in sensors to detect where and how fast your foot is going, which is sent back to the TV.

6-Foot Walk-on-Water Ball

August 23rd, 2006 by Liam in Toys

6-Foot Walk-on-Water Ball
This is a really fun idea for a summer gadget. The 6-Foot Walk-on-Water Ball lets you literally walk on water in the same kind of way hamsters can move around in plastic balls that roll.

It uses a very unique design featuring dozens of inset cups which provide some kind of grip against the water’s surface. You can then move as quickly as you can make the ball spin by running against the walls of the sphere.

These would be a whole lot of fun at an ocean or lake. I think it would be cool to try being pushed off of somewhere high and seeing if you can bounce off of the water!

Radio Controlled Indoor/Outdoor Helicopter

August 23rd, 2006 by Mike in Remote Control Toys

Helicopter
Remote control cars and trucks can wow kids, but wait until they find out there are remote controlled planes and helicopters, they’re just so much cooler. Problem is, they tend to work even worse than the cars, so it’s no worth buying.

You really get what you pay for with the Radio-Control Indoor/Outdoor Helicopter from the Discovery Channel Store. It’s a toy, but for adults. It takes a decent amount of practice and skill to get this to fly from room to room, Discovery Channel recommends it for people ages 18+.

Coin Pusher Arcade Game (with alarm system)

August 22nd, 2006 by Mike in Toys, Wacky Gadgets

Coin Pusher
Everyone has been to an arcade. Pretty much everyone has also wasted countless quarters on the game where you put a quarter in hole hoping that it will knock other quarters off the shelf. You soon find yourself down $20 and 300 tickets in your hand that just might buy you a stuffed animal.

Don’t waste another quarter! You can buy your very own coin pusher machine! Your coin pusher won’t be the same size as the arcade version, but it does exactly the same thing, except the part about taking your money and never giving it back.

Remote Control Mouse

August 16th, 2006 by Liam in Pet Gadgets, Remote Control Toys, Toys

Remote Control Mouse
I used to have a cat and I remember that it was so much fun to dangle a piece of string around for hours marvelling at how long the cat can stay amused by a piece of string. You then, of course, realize that you’ve been dangling a string in front of a cat for an hour; who’s the easily amused one now ;)?

And since you can do pretty much anything else with gadgets, why not entertain your cat with one? The Remote Control Mouse saves your arm from tiring during the strenuous act of dangling a piece of string, while also giving you a little more enjoyment out of playing with your cat.

The mouse looks like a real mouse, although I’m pretty sure your cat won’t be too fussy what it looks like! It even has a really cool little tail on it which your cat can paw at.

Bazooka Foam Gun

August 13th, 2006 by Liam in Gadget Reviews, Toys

Bazooka Foam Gun
I’m pleased, or maybe a little embarrassed, to admit that that I’ve tried out this gadget, and it really is a lot of fun! The Bazooka Foam Gun is a stronger and more powerful version of foam shooting guns which is a whole lot of fun and even hurts a little bit unlike its pathetic alternatives!

A couple of weeks ago my friends and I were bored, so of course we went to hang out in the toys department of Walmart like any other bored person would do, (right?). One of my friends had some money so we were bugging him to buy us some toy guns and we convinced him to get us each a cool toy gun. We got 2 cap guns, a Nerf dart gun and the Bazooka Foam Gun.
