Remote Control Mouse

August 16th, 2006 by Liam in Pet Gadgets, Remote Control Toys, Toys

Remote Control Mouse
I used to have a cat and I remember that it was so much fun to dangle a piece of string around for hours marvelling at how long the cat can stay amused by a piece of string. You then, of course, realize that you’ve been dangling a string in front of a cat for an hour; who’s the easily amused one now ;)?

And since you can do pretty much anything else with gadgets, why not entertain your cat with one? The Remote Control Mouse saves your arm from tiring during the strenuous act of dangling a piece of string, while also giving you a little more enjoyment out of playing with your cat.

The mouse looks like a real mouse, although I’m pretty sure your cat won’t be too fussy what it looks like! It even has a really cool little tail on it which your cat can paw at.

Bazooka Foam Gun

August 13th, 2006 by Liam in Gadget Reviews, Toys

Bazooka Foam Gun
I’m pleased, or maybe a little embarrassed, to admit that that I’ve tried out this gadget, and it really is a lot of fun! The Bazooka Foam Gun is a stronger and more powerful version of foam shooting guns which is a whole lot of fun and even hurts a little bit unlike its pathetic alternatives!

A couple of weeks ago my friends and I were bored, so of course we went to hang out in the toys department of Walmart like any other bored person would do, (right?). One of my friends had some money so we were bugging him to buy us some toy guns and we convinced him to get us each a cool toy gun. We got 2 cap guns, a Nerf dart gun and the Bazooka Foam Gun.

Hydrogen Fuel Rocket

August 7th, 2006 by Al in Toys

Hydrogen Fuel RocketThis is another one of those toys that I need to get (purely for educational purposes of course), the Hydrogen Fuel Rocket.

As cool toys go this has got to be right up there (literally). The Hydrogen Fuel Rocket is capable of souring up to 200 feet in the air, powered purely by hydrogen. Hydrogen is an eco friendly fuel and to produce the kit comes with Propellant Crystals (Citric Acid), simply mix these with water to produce your rocket fuel.

In order to launch your rocket you’ll need to find a large open space for the launch pad and then press the big red launch button (10, 9, 8,… countdown absolutely compulsory) and watch your engine ignite and thrust the rocket skyward.

The Hydrogen Fuel Rocket is available from Think Geek for a bargain $39.99.

August 3rd, 2006 by Al in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Toys

Chess Teacher

I’ve just got back from my much needed annual vacation, so thanks to Liam, Randal and Alexia (just :)) for keeping the cool gadget posts flowing in my absence. Whilst on vacation I taught my 9 year old daughter how to play chess, she picked it up really quick but it would of been so much easier with these learning chess pieces.

Light-up Bocce/Boules Balls

August 1st, 2006 by Liam in Toys

Light-up Bocce/Boules Balls
In Europe the game is Boules while in North America the game is Bocce. Whatever you call it, it’s a great, fun game to play, however it’s not always that easy at night. That’s not a problem with these great light-up balls.

The game is quite simple to play. You begin by throwing the white jack ball wherever you want (the person who got points the last round throws) then you have to bowl the larger balls towards it, trying to get closer to the jack than anyone else.
