The Beer Butler

June 28th, 2006 by Paz in Football Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

The Beer Butler

We’ve held for as long as we can stand it without posting yet another football World Cup gadget, until we came across this curious Beer Butler from the Gadget Store

The Beer Butler gadget features a sliding base shaped like a football. When someone needs a fresh drink, you simply load it up and give it a shove in your drinking partner’s direction. The remarkable thing about this gadget is that as it approaches the edge of the table, it stops without going over the edge – but how?

Slam Man

June 26th, 2006 by Stephen in Retro Gadgets, Sport

Slam Man

In this day and age with all our mod cons and lazy gadgets, it’s hard to keep fit and healthy as we do less exercise than ever. Obesity in England has greatly increased since the mid 1990’s.

Someone, somewhere, realised that something had to be done and thus, the Slam Man was born. I’m sure you recognise him from ITV’s Celebrity Fit club, if not, let me introduce you.

Bargain Robot Football Game

June 23rd, 2006 by Al in Football Gadgets, Remote Control Toys, Toys

Robot Football

If you’re like me and enjoy watching football but don’t quite have the required level of skill to play it (only just not quite mind) then robot football could be a good closed season alternative. Read the rest of this entry »

Dogie Driver

June 21st, 2006 by Al in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Sport, Wacky Gadgets

Doggie DriverGoing for a game of golf with your four legged friend may seem a bit odd but thanks to the dogie driver you can now get some swinging practice (that’s golf club swinging not the other kind of swinging) whilst exercising your pet.

Football Remote

June 20th, 2006 by Al in Audio/Video Gadgets, Football Gadgets

Football Remote ControlWe’re probably a bit late reporting on this one but as England are playing today it seemed appropriate to mention the Philips Universal Remote - World Cup Party Edition.

The World Cup remote control is shaped and colored like a football pitch. The buttons are colored and positioned as opposing players but must admit it’s a formation I’ve never seen before.

The only reason I’d need this remote when watching a game would by for it’s ingenious other purpose, an inbuilt bottle opener. Sensibly it doesn’t include a counter like that other bottle opener we wrote about.

You can get the football remote from Phillips, found via Ideal Gadget.

Towable Boat Ride

June 13th, 2006 by Al in Sport, Toys

Towable BowlThis looks a little bit safer than the Wego Kite that we reported on a few weeks a go but it still looks a load of wet fun. The big bowl tow-able is a heavy duty inflatable bowl (hence the name) that you sit in and towed across the water at high speed.

You can connect up to 4 of the bowls together so each member of the family can have their own little boat for a leisurely tug or a white water knuckle clenching ride, I know which I’d prefer.

The Big Bowl Towable is available from Hammacher for $259.99.
