Xlider another Boarding Phenomenon

September 21st, 2006 by Al in Sport, Vehicle Gadgets

Xlider

My friends over at Gizoo have just started their own blog. One of their first posts is about the Xlider and these things look very cool (though maybe not as cool as the Scarpar). The Xlider is a combination of roller blading and boarding. You have two small boards (one per foot) and each board has 2 Rollerblade like wheels.

They are “supposedly” simple to learn and come with an optional training cable to prevent you legs going off in different directions. By the looks of the Xlider videos you propel yourself like Blading, but as your not attached to the Xlider boards this opens various additional tricks.

You can find further info over at xlider.eu, found via the Gizoo blog.

Find your lost balls with RadarGolf

August 31st, 2006 by Mike in Golf Gadgets, Sport

RadarGolfPersonally, I hate golf. It’s slow, and takes forever. But this gadget actually makes me want to play a bit, or at least play with a golf ball. I can leave out the clubs and score keeping part.

It’s called RadarGolf. It solves a common problem, people lose their ball and have absolutely no idea where it is. Rather than just getting a new ball and forgetting about the old one, something I’d do, you could use your RadarGolf to find that lost ball.

Toilet Golf

August 31st, 2006 by Al in Golf Gadgets, Sport, Wacky Gadgets

Potty PutterWelcome to the new extreme sport for golfers, potty putter. Now instead of using up precious green time when vacating the premises you can get in a bit of putting practice.

If you have a row of cubicles in your office toilets you could even play with your friends, which is probably safer than toilet volleyball :).

You can get potty putter from Boys Stuff (yes this is actually a product that you can buy).

Ceiling Bike Lift

August 26th, 2006 by Liam in Sport

Ceiling Bike Lift
This is a really cool gadget which can help you get the most out of your garage or storage area. If you find you have a really cluttered garage and don’t have room for your bike, why not strap it to the ceiling? The Ceiling Bike Lift lets you do this quickly and easily so you can fill the floor space with other fun stuff.

What I like the most about this gadget is its overall ease of use. If you thought of hanging your bike from the ceiling it would usually involve a ladder, a lot of awkward lifting and probably a few minor injuries ;). This great and simple idea lets you easily store your bike on the ceiling even for daily use as opposed to long-term storage.

If you need a neat way to make fun of a ref. who wasn’t making the right calls or just want to have a really funny costume to wear, this Inflatable Referee Costume could be the perfect thing for you.

When inflated the costume puffs out to look like a really large referee. It’s great because the arms and legs also puff out so you don’t just look like you have a bunch of pillows stuffed under your shirt.
