Industrial design student Ryan Eder had his heart moved when he watched a wheelchair user struggling with fitness equipment at a gym, and hence decided to help do his part in helping everyone, including the wheelchair bound, to take advantage of gym equipment without any difficulty. That took place three years ago, and now he has sketched out his solution which incidentally is part of his thesis work at the University of Cincinnati. Dubbed The Access, this universal exercise equipment was specially designed to accommodate normal able-bodied folks as well as the disabled. Even the elderly will benefit from his design, as it makes it easier for the elderly to give different group muscles in their body a workout from the same station.

September 18th, 2007 by Edwin in Sport
Liven up your water skiing adventure with this Inflatable Body Pod-Suit Float.
Wow observers with this incredibly unique design, as you rush across the lake, spinning in barrel rolls and jumping across the wake, with a massive sumo suit surrounding your body and holding you just above the surface of the water! The suit is only one chamber, so it inflates quickly and with no extra hassle.
You can now live life to the extreme with this, although the risk of a face plant increases proportionately. Definitely not for those with little or no intestinal fortitude. The Inflatable Body Pod-Suit Float retails for $107.14.
Madd Sportz Inflatable Body Board
September 14th, 2007 by Edwin in Sport
The Madd Sportz Inflatable Body Board brings more fun to the beach, and is a great casual replacement for a surfboard as you can always inflate it at your destination instead of lugging something so huge all the way.
Made from a tough rubber and covered with nylon to avoid skin irritation, these boogie boards are extremely durable and very light. They also come fitted with 2 handles at the front, so you can position yourself with ease on top of the board in order to ride big or small waves. It’s tough enough for experienced surfers to use in very big waves and has a cushioned surface that is kind to both small and large tummies.
Don’t worry about getting started the moment you reach the beach as the included mini hand pump will be able to inflate it within seconds. The Madd Sportz Inflatable Body Board can be purchased for £19.95 and comes in blue/orange and yellow/pink colors.
Keep Junior in tip top shape
September 7th, 2007 by Edwin in Childrens Gadgets, Home Gadgets, Sport
I suppose it is never too early to start exercising, and this Junior Gym might just do the trick.
Designed specifically for children the bright new Junior Gym range includes a stepper, rowing machine, treadmill, walker and static exercise bike. Although it will be great fun to use, the equipment is not a toy and has been robustly constructed with features including gel seats and padded handlebars. The exercise bike and treadmill also have an electronic watch showing time, distance and energy used. Parents will welcome the chance for children to exercise in a fun way at a time when so much attention is focused on establishing a healthy diet and lifestyle.
At least it helps your little ones spend their energy in a more beneficial way instead of making a nuisance of themselves in the house by running up and down the stairs for the umpteenth time.
Gentle Return Inversion Machine

If you’ve been suffering from back aches for some time now and have tried all sorts of treatment to no avail, perhaps the Gentle Return Inversion Machine might help.
This is the cushioned bench that gently stretches your back in less than two minutes using only gravity to help relieve strain on the spine and vertebrae after a long day of sitting or standing. With regular use, the bench decreases spinal compression that naturally occurs during the day and it helps relieve disk and nerve root pressure, as well as cervical tension that can lead to pinched nerves and headaches. The gradual stretching effect of lying on the bench also helps muscles relax. It has a powder-coated 15-gage steel frame with foam-padded half-circle handlebars that are easy to reach from any inversion angle, allowing you to return to an upright position.
It fits heights ranging from 4′4″ to 6′6″ and can support a maximum weight of 250 lbs. You can pick one up for your home for $299.95.

Summer is the perfect time to engage in outdoor activity, enabling you to witness the full glory of the sun. What better way than to spend it around nature? Some people might prefer to head for the hills (in a positive manner, of course) while others prefer to spend a quiet day by the lake, waiting for the fish to bite. For those who love to engage in water activities, jet skis are definitely fun, but wait till you check out the Electric Inflatable Watercraft from Icontech. This vehicle is basically a battery powered, sit down product that resembles a jet ski, and is capable of achieving top speeds of 10kmh, making it a viable (and affordable) alternative to those who are just starting out in the wild, wild world of water sports.

Sneaker Wash Tube for peace of mind
August 14th, 2007 by Edwin in Home Gadgets, Sport
Throwing in a pair of dirty and smelly sneakers into the washing machine is one thing, but how do you prevent it from snagging other clothes during a wash? The Sneaker Wash Tube is the answer - it will keep your sneakers together throughout the entire washing process without disturbing the peace of other clothes inside.
Easily clean your sneakers in the washing machine! Zipped in this tube, your sneakers aren’t left to tumble around in the washer and wrap around the agitator or snag other clothes. Yet the mesh fabric lets water circulate through so they still get the cleaning power they need while keeping shoes separate. Two loops make it easy to hang from a rod or clothes line for air drying. 14″ long x 9″ diameter - big enough for just about any size shoes! Non-rust plastic zipper. Folds to store.
Interested moms can always pick up this essential household item for $6.95.
