When you live in a household that wants to start eating healthier, it can be difficult to get everyone on board. Especially since there are so many interpretations of what “eating healthier” actually means. For some people, this just means cutting out soda and sweets, while to others it means getting a kitchen scale and carefully measuring every calorie that goes into your body.
When you live in a tiny apartment in a busy city, the only place you can really go work out is the gym. It’s not what anyone would prefer, but it’s the only place you can really get in the zone without worrying about knocking into something. If you don’t have the time to make it to the gym, then you’re going to need to figure out how to make due despite the space restrictions.
It’s funny how much time we will eagerly spend looking up how to lose weight fast or how to get rich quick. After attempting these things a time or two, we realize that the only way to get to where we want to be is through forming better habits. Maybe you take on a new habit every two weeks or two months, setting alarms to do things you know you should do, or maybe you start making list after list that will only get longer as more time passes.
When you go out for a breath of fresh air at night, it’s terrifying to be anywhere near a main road. Cars will come dashing around corners if they think there’s not a cop in the area, and may end up with murder on their record. We’re so used to everyone being in a car that it’s almost strange to see people out at night, even though it’s completely sane to go on a nighttime run, walk, or just take an impromptu stroll because you feel like it.
Forcing yourself to workout is possibly one of the hardest things to do. Some people start their children with the habit of getting up and moving everyday from the time they’re in grade school, but not all of us were so lucky. Most of the time it’s a hassle to just wake up and remember to eat something besides coffee before 1pm. Harsh truth aside, what if there were a workout where all you had to do was breathe?
The more we learn about our own bodies, the more interesting our technology becomes. We still don’t know everything there is to know about the brain and the nervous system, but there’s plenty that we do have a pretty firm grasp of understanding on. Bone conduction has been a rising market for some time now, with headsets, earpieces, and even advertisements being played through glass on trains.
When you’re sitting at a desk all day with constant stress on you, it’s hard to want to do any physical activity when you get home. We seem to be on the very futile search to find the perfect smartwatch. New aspects and innovations keep being realized for this wearable technology, and while some products are just a rehashing of things that already exist, there are those that want to improve on the model. Smartwatches have been around long enough now that we essentially know what we would want, need, and like to have.
