RealD LP Accessory brings 3D to Projectors
May 6th, 2009 by Mark R in Projectors
If there was one thing that I learned at CES, it was that 3D was going to be big this year. I reported on many products designed for a 3D society, like the BCS Championship Game and some ViewSonic products. I think the barrage of 3D movies that we are seeing is evidence of a new 3D age.
A company known as RealD, a huge name in tech in the 3D world, has created the RealD LP, a Linear Polarizing Z Screen that can “bring the power of 3D to the small screen”. The company has also stated that the RealD LP is “the world’s first mobile, single-projector, passive 3D solution”.

April 29th, 2009 by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Home Theater, Projectors
Epson’s got a soft spot for home theater systems, and they have just come up with yet another option for those who are thinking about getting one for their respective homes. The Ensemble HD Home Cinema System is now available to the masses, featuring a selection of projectors for you to choose from in order to fit into most budgets. A couple of the projectors in question are the PowerLite Home Cinema 6100 and Home Cinema 6500 UB. We suppose that once you have the Epson Ensemble HD Home Cinema System installed in your pad, you will find very little excuse to go out once you’ve returned home from work. After all, you might as well take advantage of all the technology on offer before it gets obsolete, right?
Sanyo short throw projector looks stunning
April 16th, 2009 by Edwin in Projectors
Sanyo does not want to be left behind in Samsung’s wake with the latter recently announcing eight more new projectors that will hit the market shortly, and hence have come up with a solitary defense – a front projector that is touted to throw an amazing 100″ image from just 63cm away. As for this front projector’s color reproducibility, it currently stands at 170% of the NTSC standard so you can be assured that there is a high standard of quality we’re talking about here. This projector is able to perform as it does thanks to the use of ultra-short focus projection technology that merges both projector lenses and concave mirrors, projecting light from the upper surface of the device with laser as a light source.
