PictureBook Digital Photo Album

December 19th, 2006 by Tiago in Electronic Gadgets, Photography, USB Gadgets

PictureBook Digital Photo Album
On top of the other seven digital frames we already mentioned there is a new one that really grabbed my attention, just like a fireman grabs a person when he/she is about to fall off a building – both situations are similar and have the same feeling.

Anyway, enough with gibberish talk and moving on to the digital frame of the day – the PictureBook Digital Photo Album:

All the other digi frames we previously talked about had one similar feature which is the lack of big storage capacity, therefore consumers could only put like 60 or 80 photos on a frame, sometimes less. The scenario changes when using the PictureBook, since it is suppose to work as an album it has a hard-drive with 40GB, can you imagine the number of photos you can insert in it? I can’t, but the producers/designers (read Brookstone) talk about storing over 20,000 photos.

5.0MP Digital Binocular Camera

November 15th, 2006 by Tiago in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Photography

5.0 Mega Pixel LCD Digital Binocular Camera

Remember the previous Digital Binocular Camera we talked about? Well, that one only had 2.0 mega pixels which can be considered pretty low for the actual standards, this one has more MPs and improved features overall. The name also stands out (when comparing to the poor DB3200), it is called Pro Viewer BinoCam, I must admit that the “Pro” part on the beginning makes all the difference, right?

This 3-in-1 device can be used as:

  • a binocular to view animals at the Kruger Park
  • a digital camera to take photos of the Kruger lions, crocodiles, and so on
  • a recording digital camera to take AVI video clips that catch the lions on the act, just like you see it on the Discovery Channel

Pictures meet locations, an industrial strength tool for the rest of us

November 7th, 2006 by Fred in Photography

You know you’ve always wanted to tag each and every picture you have in a seamless way with the gps location of wherever you took it. Well now you can, in a fairly seamless way.

Today Trimble Navigation rolled out their new collaboration with Fotonation and Nikon Cameras to bring you a way to do just that.

NuVue Digital Photo Frames

October 8th, 2006 by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets, Photography
Coolest Gadgets

nuvue-digital-photo-frame.jpgJust like the iPod, nearly everyone has a digital camera today. Despite being able to take far more photos than before, one of the biggest stumbling blocks of digital cameras is the fact that many of us do not process our photographs unlike the good old days where there were negatives to be developed. Instead, we just store all our memories in a digital format on some hard drive or memory card somewhere, without ever showing them off to the world. This is where Digital Photo Frames enter the picture, enabling you to share your memories with loved and close ones.

Keychain Camera

September 24th, 2006 by Tiago in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Photography

Keychain Camera

Very small cameras with good specifications are hard to see, but this Keychain Camera is suppose to be different (in a good way).

To start with, this camera is tiny, if the dimensions (1.5×2.5×0.75 inches) don’t give you an idea of how small it is, I can inform that it is shorter in length and weight when compared to a credit card. Maybe it’s better if you check it yourself, so visit Sizeasy and add the size that I previously mentioned (the one in brackets) to compare with other items.
