Vonage V-Phone

Vonage V-Phone

The Vonage V-Phone can be considered one of the smallest phones in the world, it just depends on your definition of telephone.

This kind of phone comes in a USB form and works via the internet (much like the popular Skype), the full V-Phone package contains pre-installed software and a microphone to be plugged on the side of the USB. This pre-installed software made by Vonage has the basic phone features like capable of making/receiving calls (duh), but it also has not-so-basic-stuff caller ID and call forwarding - all this can be done/seen on the interface that will appear on the monitor after you plug it on the USB port. Proporta USB Mobile Device Charger

Proporta USB Mobile Device Charger
I like proporta.com, they sell a load of cool stuff and also sent me a goodie bag of gadgets (which is a very good way to get my attention :)), the majority of which I’ll be giving away in our forums. Their latest product is the USB Mobile Device Charger.

Problem…

Battery life of new power-hungry mobile devices has a lot to answer for. We all know how annoying it is when your device runs out of battery when you need it the most - the phone call you had to make, the 3 hour journey you are on with no book to read, or that deal breaking email that you had to send… www.proporta.com have come up with the answer.

Solution…

The USB Cannon

October 4th, 2006 by Al in Toys, USB Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

USB Circus CannonThis gadget is similar to the USB missile launcher we reported on a few months ago but instead of firing missiles it’s a
cannon like those found at the circus.

Like the missile launcher it connects to your PC via USB, you can rotate it and change it’s elevation to aim. But instead of shooting at your colleagues your meant to try to land the flying baby in the safety net (though I’m sure you’ll still be able to shoot annoying work mates with it).

The USB cannon is available from Brando for $35.

road-warrior-deluxe.jpgZip-Linq is noted for their wide array of cables and various connector solutions, so it is no wonder that the latest Deluxe Zip-Linq Road Warrior Kit will sit down well with those who travel on a frequent basis. We know that packing our suitcases for a long haul trip can be quite a tricky affair as we have to maintain a healthy balance of space between our beloved gadgets and their many accessories as well as the rest of our clothes and toiletries. Often times, packing becomes such a hurried affair that we might end up forgetting to bring some of the more necessary connector cables to our place of destination, reducing grown men to a pool of tears as they don’t know how to transfer their presentation slides from one device to a notebook.

The self-destructing USB hub

October 2nd, 2006 by Mike in USB Gadgets

Self Destructing USB Hub
Everyone’s seen those movies where there’s a bomb, and that little box with the key holes, switches, and the infamous plastic lid covering the big, red button.

It be great to have one of those boxes in your house, right? Of course, they’re cool, and have all sorts of buttons and switches to play with; they probably make noise, too!
