You can never do with too many USB ports, just like how a woman can never have enough handbags and shoes. With the USB Super 16-port Hub, I can safely conclude that most of your USB port woes are solved. It comes with its own 22.5W power supply, so there is no need to worry about a lack of juice to power all your gadgets connected. Perfect for sticking in a bunch of USB flash drives, a memory card reader, charge your phone and MP3 player, and connect a printer simultaneously, with room for more. You will be able to choose from US, UK, Australia or Europe models, each retailing for $139.

July 9th, 2008 by Mark R in Gaming Gadgets, USB Gadgets
I’ve got a funny story to tell about the Wii. Lately, my children, who are ages 4 and 5, have been playing it early in the morning before I wake up. A few days ago, I discovered they created a crowd of diverse Mii characters, all with names like “puppy”, “hug”, and “good”.
I suppose that they named these Mii guys after words they knew how to spell. They must have mastered the keyboard interface that requires Wiimote motion to work. I have found that typing on the Wii this way is slow, and if the Wii is ever going to make full use of its wireless capability, then a keyboard might soon be a requirement.
A company called Logic 3 has recently come out with a mini QWERTY keyboard, which features Symbol shifting and F number keys. It is reminiscent of certain keyboards that I have seen for the Xbox 360 that fit right onto the controller. I don’t think that this Wii Keyboard can fit on the controller as nicely as that keyboard, but it will link up with the Wii’s USB port.
IOGEAR Universal Memory Bank
July 7th, 2008 by Edwin in PC Gadgets, USB Gadgets
IOGEAR is well known for their line of peripherals, and today we have yet another couple of offerings from the company that makes it a snap for you to transfer images and files between multimedia devices, gadgets and computers thanks to the IOGEAR Universal Memory Bank. These devices boasts a wide range of functionality, among them a 12-in-1 memory card reader/writer and a 56-in-1 memory card reader/writer that offers bi-directional data transfers at unprecedented speeds. Hey, don’t quote me on the last bit as those are IOGEAR marketing claims, and I suspect you’re limited to a theoretical cap of 480Mbps as with all other USB 2.0 devices.
USB Aircraft Mouse
July 7th, 2008 by AndrewD in PC Gadgets, USB Gadgets
So you’ve always wanted to get your pilot license, but your severe fear of flying has held you back. Not to mention you’re more interested in flight simulation games than actual aircraft flying. But all of that dreaming has done nothing to thwart your love of aircraft themed gadgets. And this one is an awesome example.
This USB Aircraft Mouse is an awesome addition to a plane lovers desk. The aircraft design also makes the mouse an ergonomic joy, though a little too chunky for some people. It’s probably not the kind of mouse you want to pack in a laptop case.

July 6th, 2008 by Ally in PC Gadgets, USB Gadgets
If you haven’t been able to get your hands on one of the coveted iPods so far, but you love the look of them this memory stick would be cheaper and cute. It doesn’t quite have the sleek look of the iPod, but instead goes for a cuddly lovable version. Just flip it open and inside is a memory stick to hold all of your data. iPod owners could even carry this around to show their love for all things iPod without having to worry about the real thing getting stolen.

Pico USB flash drive
June 30th, 2008 by Edwin in PC Gadgets, USB Gadgets
Mention Pico and chances are you’ll think of something small. Guess there isn’t any prizes up for grabs if you manage to figure out just what the Pico USB flash drive is like!
No exception, this little drive is the smallest we’ve ever seen. Barely bigger than the tip of your pinky, and less than 4mm thick, it’s positively small. The polished chrome finish is certainly shiny, but at 8 gigabytes, it’s redonkulously teeny! Store four full length ripped movies, five days worth of music, more than four-thousand 5 megapixel photos, or eighty-meters worth of shelved books. Sure, it’s so small you could easily lose it, so we’ve included a chain to help keep it around.
It measures 31.3mm x 12.4mm x 3.4mm and comes in a polished chrome finish, and being shock- and water-resistant, it makes me feel much more secure knowing that my data inside is safe. Now if only there is a way NOT to lose this $49.99 device…

Luckily for you festively girly fabulous nerd readers, we have just the ticket with these USB Fairy Lights, which add a touch of Christmas light ascetic to your boring old notebook.
