Another USB Album, this time from J. Lo.

Last month we had a few, err, discussions about Match Box 20 releasing their latest album on a USB armband. Well not to be out done the diva herself, J. Lo. has released her new musical offering on USB as well.
Instead of going for a boring old armband, Jennifer’s album is on a wood USB flash drive, classy! The privilege to listen to Lopez off a wooden USB stick will set you back, wait for it, $70. On a positive note, it is re-usable

Plantronics mono headset launched

Plantronics has just launched its mono headset known as the Audio 610 USB in Korea, and this will target folks who keep in touch with family and friends using VoIP software since it was specially designed for Internet calling purposes. Features include a noise-canceling microphone, a bendable boom and swivel-mounted ear cushions for superior comfort. No idea on how much it costs, but it sure as heck makes you look like a call center drone when wearing one.

Smallest USB 2.0 4-Port Hub in the world

Now this $9.99 device claims to be the smallest USB 2.0 hub in the world, helping you connect more peripherals to the PC without taking up too much desktop space. It measures an extremely tiny 5.8mm x 28mm x 12 mm and manages to cram in four USB 2.0 ports. As you can see, it is shorter than the length of two SD cards, weighing a mere 21 grams to make it travel-friendly. It isn’t made out of cheap plastic though, boasting a high-grade alloy with a metallic silver surface for that added touch of class.
USB Lighter doubles as flash drive

I thankfully never took up smoking, as I’m perfectly content sticking to my addiction to the caffeinated beverages. However, the countless smokers out there will no doubt agree that it’s a pain to always keep a lighter on hand. Some get small ones that they can fit in their cigarette pack, while many just keep one in their pocket. Unfortunately for those geeky smokers out there, that usually means having a lighter and a flash drive floating around in your pocket all day. Why not get something that combines the two? Popdrive Bottle Opener is the life of the party
I’m a big fan of multi-taskers. There’s nothing worse than having items in your house, your desk, your messenger bag or your purse that do one thing, and one thing only. Once you get over 3-4 items, then you start losing room for the essentials of your MP3 player or your cell phone.
Being a gadget geek, I appreciate it when something simple is combined with some useful and practical technology. X-treme Geek has one of those great multi-tasking products.

USB Fibre Optic Christmas Tree
Get into the Christmas spirit with this USB Fibre Optic Christmas Tree. Best of all is, there aren’t pesky wires to wrestle with once the holiday season is over as you can simply unplug it and tuck it away in your desk drawer till Christmas rolls round once again.
Simply plug it into an available USB port on your computer or laptop and experience a warm glow as the tips of the branches glisten with a bright blue shimmer. The sparkling little lights have a soothing, almost hypnotic effect and will make anyone who passes by get into the festive spirit. If you argue with your colleagues about who gets to decorate the tree, then find less enthusiasm when the time comes to take it down in January, this little tree is the perfect compromise. Every desk can have their own USB Christmas Tree to complement the rest of the office decorations.
Perfect as an office gift to that hot secretary you’ve been eyeing all along. £9.95 from Gizoo.
USB Ferris Wheel provides visual entertainment with incoming calls

They say that some people learn better visually, so it would seem possible that these people also enjoy visual stimulants as opposed to say, audio. Following this line of thought, these same people might enjoy seeing their phone ring rather than actually hearing it. How would one see a phone ring you ask? With a USB Ferris Wheel of Course!

Gundam USB-powered air ionizer

Fans of the Gundam anime series, rejoice! This USB-powered air ionizer comes in the shape of a something from the Gundam universe, and it helps keep the air around you ionized as long as the computer or notebook that it is attached to is turned on. No idea on how much it costs though. I would’ve preferred to see this come as a USB hub instead, since robots and connectability seem to go hand-in-hand much better.
