Nabaztag Lands at ThinkGeek

April 27th, 2006 by Al in Electronic Gadgets, PC Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

Nabaztag

Whilst doing my usual rounds of gadget sites I saw that Think Geek are now selling my favourite wifi gadget, the Nabaztag though only on pre-order at the moment.

So you can now get the cute (and some may say useful) tech bunny from Think Geek in the States and Firebox in the UK, though annoyingly I ordered one of these in March from FB and it’s still out of stock :(.

DocuPen ScannerThis is another gadget for all you secret agents out their, a scanner disguised as a pen, the DocuPen.

The Planon DocuPen RC800 is a pen scanner with a difference, instead of having the scanning camera at the tip of the pen, the DocuPen has an electronic eye down the length of the pen. This means instead of scanning a block of text a line at a time you can scan an entire page in just one sweep.

The Self Inflating Flash Drive

April 13th, 2006 by Al in PC Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

Inflating Flash DriveFinally a USB flash drive that isn’t boasting to be the biggest in capacity or the smallest in physical dimensions. The flashbag is a flash drive with a difference as it inflates to show how full it is.

It’s a cool idea, simly plug the drive into your PC, copying files over and watch the bag inflate. The flashbag would stay inflated after being unplugged, providing an instant indication of how full the drive is.

At the moment the flashbag is just a concept product but it would be cool if a company actually released them :).

DIY Thumb Drive

April 12th, 2006 by Al in PC Gadgets

DIY Thumb DriveThis is another one of those simple but neat ideas, a USB thumbdrive that you make your self (if you can call it making).

The idea behind it is to reuse all those old SD and MMC cards you have lying around, from forgotten phones, cameras, etc. You simply slip the card into the supplied case (that’s the making DIY part) and hey presto you have your home made USB flash drive.

You can get the full kit (with complex instructions) from Think Geek.
