One of the biggest problems with road trips is taking along cold beverages. Buying soda or other drinks while on the road will cost you a lot more than if you buy a 12 pack of Pepsi at your local grocery store. The problem keeping those colas cool is by using a regular cooler, you need to keep buying ice every day to keep everything cold.
