One reason that LCD monitors have become so hugely popular is that an office always sets a premium on real desk top space. Any item that can reduce the hardware clutter from a cubicle desk will be embraced by the business world. Which is why when a design comes out to minimize the desktop footprint of a printer, it’s bound to turn heads. I’ts another great find from our friends at Yanko and it’s called The Hanging Printer.

February 3rd, 2008 by Chris in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Office Gadgets
What kind of chair do you sit in? I’ve got a pretty decent chair that I’ve had for around five years. It’s nothing fancy, just a black high-back computer chair. If you like to sit in something that differs from the norm, and happen to be an aviation enthusiast, this B-52 Stratofortress Ejector Seat Chair should be right up your alley.

February 1st, 2008 by Carolyn in Home Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets, Office Gadgets
One of the most important things that I do every day is pay attention to the weather. It determines what I wear, whether or not I wear a raincoat or take an umbrella with me or if I need to bring along a scarf. Or, perhaps I just want to know what’s in store for the weekend on Tuesday so I can make my escape to places warmer than here if it’s going to be cold and dreary.
Over at Think Geek, they’re selling the Wireless 7-Day Weather Forecaster and this great product will give you the most up to date weather data where ever you go.

Sony helps simplify printing process
February 1st, 2008 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets, Office Gadgets
PMA is a busy, busy period for everyone involved in the imaging business, and the same can be said for Sony. The company has just introduced a couple of photo printers that boast one touch printing as well as in-printer photo editing features, allowing even the most clueless person to be able to print out some rather decent images straight from the camera without any need to know about Photoshop and its wonders. The two photo printers in question are the Sony PictureStation DPP-FP95 and DPP-FP75, being small and portable enough to be carried around anywhere without snapping a tendon in your shoulder or something.
Optimal Office Mouse Reads Your Stress Levels
January 29th, 2008 by Mark R in Office Gadgets, PC Gadgets, Software
I think that anyone who is on the computer knows what stress is, especially at the office. Fortunately, the Optimal Office Mouse is here for us to both monitor and relieve our stress.
As you can see, the Optimal Office Mouse differs from your average mouse with that metallic spot on the side. All you have to do is press your thumb on that spot in order to gauge your stress levels.
Once the mouse detects that your stress levels are high, the included software kicks in and suggests that you perform some stress-relieving exercises. According to the site, the device uses Web 2.0 processes for stress relief that works on three levels.

So how often have you found yourself looking at porn playing Solitaire at work, only to have your boss bust in on you? Well, when you suddenly start clicking like a madman, it’s usually pretty obvious that you weren’t actually working. If you’re really that bored at work on a regular basis, you might consider investing in a new mouse.
Buffalo announces a tiny Skype phone with attached keyboard
January 27th, 2008 by Chris in Electronic Gadgets, Office Gadgets, PC Gadgets, USB Gadgets
If you have an office that’s as cluttered with gadgets as mine, you tend to appreciate convergence products. You have to be picky about which functions you want to have packed into a single device. For instance, a webcam built into your monitor might be cool, however, a mouse that’s also a label printer is not. (Yes, such a thing does exist). Here’s one that I’m pretty undecided on. It’s a Skype phone that’s built into your keyboard.
