I used to spend a lot of time tied to my desk computer, then finally we had wireless routers and laptops, so I was at least able to make it into the living room. I always dreamed of the day I could be out by the pool, in the wine cellar or over in the East wing and still be able to access the internet on my trusty laptop or iPad.

Measuring 7″ in length while letting you write stuff out in blue ink. I do question the idea of it being made out of plastic though, since in your zeal of shooting the rest of your colleagues or classmates, you might actually exert far more strength than required and the plastic might end up brittle after a couple of years, breaking into pieces instead. What do you think – would metal be a more formidable idea?

The Neat Company is something that I just had to write about. As soon as I saw how their NeatDesk can create digital copies of business cards, receipts, and 8 x 11 papers, I had to be a part of that vision. I mean, they have “neat” in their name, for crying out loud!

As you might have guessed, The Neat Company wants to make your desk clearer by removing the paper clutter and turning it into digital records. The Neat Company’s software uses optical character recognition to understand words from your paper files. It will then create a database for your contacts, and even an expense report for your receipts. Nice!

The Neat Company has also added NeatCloud and NeatMobile. NeatCloud provides users with their own customized cloud-based backup and automatically syncs with Neat’s software for “unfettered access to their information”. NeatMobile allows users to use their smartphones for capturing and storing information to their Neat digital filing systems.

If you have some New Year’s resolution to be more organized, then I would highly suggest going with the Neat Company. You should be able to find their products at the Neat website here and other major retail outlets.

Normally, Jabra creates a lot of Bluetooth headsets and occasional speakers, but the PRO 930 is designed for telephony services like Skype. The PRO 930 comes with a stand that can be plugged into a computer for charging and syncing.

Not only is it good to use with an adjustable headband for a good fit, but the PRO 930 also has an earpiece that can snap on so it looks like a usual Bluetooth headset.

Other features of this device include a dedicated button to answer calls, as well as volume controls. It also has a convenient noise canceling microphone that eliminates ambient background noise, like in a busy office environment.

I recently had a chance to try this out for myself, and I made the mistake of assuming that it was a simple Bluetooth headset. Yeah, my smartphone didn’t pair with it.

I’m not really a guy for Skype, but I got it working quickly enough. If I can do it, I am pretty sure that anyone can, so I will recommend this product for those new or old to telephony.

You should be able to get the Jabra PRO 930 for a price of $199. The similar PRO 920, designed for desk phones, is available for the same price.

Measuring a cool 4″ in width and 2.75″ in height, the Singing Bird Bag Clip might be something that you want to purchase for use at your office, or wherever you are working where there is no high level of trust amongst your colleagues simply because of the general environment. After all, a hungry man is an angry man, and it would certainly suck to not have your home packed lunch to eat when it is time for your mid-day break.

The Tetra-Shed is designed to give an office worker a definite space of their own with a wooden tent-like structure. It is designed by David Ajasa-Adekunle, and it reminds me of those blanket-tents that we used to make as kids.

I honestly can say that I could get a lot of work done here, and it comes with some deskspace, overhead storage, and some lighting. By the way, the entire thing can be closed up for privacy, which includes the doors as well as the windows.

While I like the idea of the Tetra Sheds, I can’t say that I am a fan of the shape. It looks like it comes to a point a little too soon, with barely enough room to stand. I will have to say that I am starting to vote for the rectangular shape of the cubicle box, but I don’t like the lack of cubicle privacy.

You should be seeing the Tetra-Shed sometime around next year. Now try and imagine a whole office floor full of these. Weird, isn’t it?
