Zeemote, the company behind intelligent wireless controllers for mobile devices, have teamed up with Sony Ericsson to bring a totally different gaming experience to the world of cell phones by offering the Zeemote JS1 Controller to come bundled with the Sony Ericsson W760i. This unique controller will pair up with the handset using Bluetooth technology, and will be offered in an exclusive promotion throughout the Netherlands. Funny thing that this isn’t offered to other countries around the world - is there something we’re missing out on here? Did market research show that the Dutch are more prone to playing games on their cell phones, while the rest of the world uses our phones to, you know, carry out conversations? Well, that will be one of the mysteries in life I suppose, but I digress. On to the Zeemote JS1 shortly.

The Mystery of the Disappearing iPhone Apps
August 4th, 2008 by AndrewD in Apple News, Mobile Phones, Tech News
It’s a story you won’t be reading in any Agatha Christie novel, but the mysterious allure is just as thrilling as the daily tribulations of Detective Hercule Poirot. It was a pleasant day in August, I remember it well. The day I realized that something was amiss in the city of Cupertino, California.
If you haven’t already noticed for yourself, Apple has been pulling the plug on a few of their most popular iPhone applications in their arsenal. It was only last week when the high profile app, NetShare, was plunked from the App Store inventory without a word, and now the popular Box Office application has been ripped from the metaphorical shelves. The really weird thing is that the developers of these apps haven’t received any explanations for the sudden recalls.
Apple and AT&T love affair continues
August 4th, 2008 by Edwin in Apple News, Mobile Phones, iPod gadgets
If you’re a phone subscriber to a mobile carrier other than AT&T and hope to get your hands on an iPhone 3G sometime this year or the next, happy waiting. Apple and AT&T’s exclusivity deal is said to continue until at least 2010 according to various sources. Part of the extended time in this deal is due to AT&T having agreed to dole out large scale subsidies for the iPhone 3G’s pricing, helping the company convert customers from other networks (in a nutshell, impatient people who have fallen head over heels in love with the iPhone 3G). Well, good things always come to those who wait, so quit whining if you ain’t rocking with AT&T.

T-Mobile Sidekick, plain and simple
July 31st, 2008 by Edwin in Mobile Phones
After much speculation on what the latest Sidekick device from T-Mobile will be called, the carrier decided to just name it Sidekick, plain and simple. There won’t be any other code name attached to it, bringing us back to the basics. You will be able to choose to fit one out of two shells that come with each Sidekick purchase - black and metallic green. There will also be a wide range of pre-designed shell patterns and colors for you to pick up at T-Mobile retail stores or online, and I’m pretty sure we won’t have to wait for long until someone with an excess amount of Swarovski crystals and super glue decide to bling up their Sidekick. Granted, other luxury labels might also think of blinging this up with diamonds and precious jewels, but that’s another story for another day. For now, we will look at the features right after the jump.
iPhone Case with Rechargable Battery
July 30th, 2008 by AndrewD in Mobile PhonesApple’s iPhone has caused a revolution of the mobile age. The multi-touch screen evolved from the technology of tomorrow to the product of today. While the iPhone isn’t exactly a power hogging device, its battery life is pretty mediocre. Not horrible, but not too impressive either.
If you happen to be one of the millions of iPhone owners who have been caught in a jam, out and about with no battery life left on your Apple device to speak of, than this iPhone Battery Case might seem mighty inviting to your mobile addicted eyes.
Nokia E71 arrives in the US
July 30th, 2008 by Edwin in Mobile Phones
The US version of the Nokia E71 is one highly anticipated handset, although it won’t command as strong a following as the recent iPhone 3G release. Still, this business centric cell phone is touted to be the slimmest QWERTY device on the market, measuring a mere 0.39″ in thickness. It is currently available to the general public via a range of consumer electronics, wireless and online retailers, and at the Nokia Flagship Stores in Chicago and New York. More of the E71 can be garnered if you read past the jump.
