Motorola might be struggling in the current unstable economic climate, but that doesn’t mean the telecommunications giant is about to throw in the towel. The US-based company has just rolled out a trio of new PDA phones in China today - the MING A1600, MING A1800 and MOTO A810. The first two MING cell phones are next-generation handsets that boast standalone GPS navigation and packs in more than a decent punch where productivity and multimedia functions are concerned. As for the MOTO A810, this entry-level phone will further expand the PDA phone market in China with the bare necessities without breaking the bank.

July 8th, 2008 by AndrewD in Apple News, Mobile Phones
Canadians have something to be truly pissed about. Finally, the iPhone 3G is about to set foot in North America, and Canadian wireless provider Rogers has to lay down some of the worse price plans you could possibly expect, even compared to Canadian wireless standards.
To start, there is absolutely no unlimited plan to speak of. The highest data allowance tops off at 2GB and only 300 sent text messages, which for most people is way more data than they’ll ever use in the first place, but even so, for $115 a month, you shouldn’t be setting any limits on anyone. Apple has had it with Rogers and they’re making it very clear. Sources say that they have officially pulled the iPhone off the Rogers sale racks, even before its launch on the 11th.
Motorola Q9 Napoleon looks Dynamite
July 7th, 2008 by Mark R in Mobile Phones
Napoleon Dynamite here, and I just discovered a flippin’ leak. Motorola is rumored to have added something new to their Q collection with a phone that they call Napoleon. I suppose it would have been really cool if they had spelled my name right on some sources. I mean, some blogs actually spelled it “Napolean”. Is it really that hard to spell my name right? Gosh!
At least the phone is rumored to have some flippin’ sweet features. For example, it is a CDMA EV-DO Rev. A Q9 with GSM world roaming capabilities. That means that you can call pretty much anywhere. This would be great for my Uncle Rico, who’s on the road a lot. I wish he’d get on the road right now in that stupid orange van!
Oh yeah, there is also some killer Wi-Fi in case you want to be chattin’ online with babes all day like my brother Kip.
Bang & Olufsen EarSet 2 and EarSet 3
July 2nd, 2008 by Mark R in Coolest Mobile News, Mobile PhonesBang & Olufsen, a great North American supplier of high end home theaters and custom multi room music systems, has recently broke into the headset market with the EarSet 2 and EarSet 3.
The EarSet 2 is a Bluetooth wireless job that features two omni-directional microphones that uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to assist in clearer sound by suppressing wind and other background noise for the best transmission possible.
This EarSet 2 also has a great ergonomic feel as well. It has a full adjustable clip to fit on your ear comfortably, and a convenient fold out mike. This fold-out mike functions as an on/off switch for the device. Calls and volume are operated by a single, easy-to-use switch.
As for the EarSet 3, it may not have the wireless action going on, but they do have the clarity of sound that the Earset 2 has, but in both ears. Not only is it designed for talking on a cellular phone, but works well for music mobile phones, MP3 players, and is even compatible with the Apple iPhone.

Apple and AT&T reveal more iPhone 3G info, App Store preview
July 1st, 2008 by AndrewD in Apple News, Mobile Phones
July 11th is approaching quick! And you know what that means. The launch of the new iPhone 3G. Despite the Stevenote at WWDC and various minuscule bits of trivia, much of the details for the 3G Apple phone were still sort of hazy. Today marks a brand new cacophony of fresh information for us iPhone fans.
Apple has released a video guide for their new iPhone and AT&T has rolled out their FAQ page, for everything you need to know about the iPhone 3G before you go out and scoop one up for yourself. One of the coolest things revealed today was the UI and the download process for the upcoming App Store, which will be released with the iPhone 2.0 firmware.
Com One Bluetooth USB Adapter
July 1st, 2008 by Mark R in Mobile Phones, PC GadgetsI do most of my work on a laptop that I bought about two years ago. I don’t think it was a newer model, because it didn’t come with Bluetooth. Remember a few years ago when everyone was in a Bluetooth frenzy? These days, practically everything has Bluetooth as a standard feature, whether it needs it or not.
Fortunately, companies like Com One is here for those who missed the Bluetooth train after purchasing a PC or laptop. Their Bluetooth USB Adapter plugs in, and can sync with Bluetooth devices.
Swinging USB microSD memory card reader
June 29th, 2008 by Edwin in Mobile Phones, PC Gadgets
No, this swinging USB microSD memory card reader doesn’t go around fornicating with just about any other memory cards in the market, but is faithful to just the microSD format throughout it’s lifetime. Dubbed the Magic Swing Alpha, it is available in the Korea market and is marketed primarily as a 3G cell phone charm. I have absolutely no idea how much this will cost, but judging by just how cheap memory card readers are in the market these days, this shouldn’t even cause a noticeable dent in your finances.
