Faster than Velcro - Speed Laces

December 19th, 2005 by Al in Miscellaneous Gadgets

Speed Laces
I remember when I was kid and Velcro trainers were all the rage, they were just so much easier and quicker to fasten than those pesky laces, well laces are having their revenge by means of Speed Laces, designed for super fit triathletes or lazy people who can’t be bothered to untie their sneakers.

I think the idea behind speed laces has been around for a while on army boots and specialist sport sneakers, but with these kits you can attach speed laces to any pair of your favourite sneakers (or trainers to some) letting you have quick and easy footwear removal or fastening.

Portable Micro Buildings

December 19th, 2005 by Al in Home Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets

Micro Dwelling Exterior
This looks like something you’d expect to see orbiting the Earth but it is in fact a new form of totally portable building known as Micro Dwellings.

Micro dwellings consist of multiple modules that can be welded/bolted together and are equally at home on land, water, underwater or in the air (if attached to a suitable stable object). With Micro dwellings you are able to cheaply and quickly extend your abode by the addition of new modules. So if over Christmas you have an addition to the family like a brand spanking new 42″ Plasma you could quickly add on an octahedron cinema room (though I’m not sure how the acoustics of that would be).

December 17th, 2005 by Anita in Miscellaneous Gadgets

bloodpressure
We all know how important it is to keep an eye on our blood pressure, but many of us do not have the desire to visit the doctor all the time, find a public place that has a blood pressure monitor, or try to use some of those monitors at home that are very hard to read. With the Talking Blood Pressure Monitor, all the guesswork will be taken out of your reading and you will be able to know what your blood pressure is with any trouble at all.

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in America and high blood pressure is one main contributor to the disease. Many people do not even realize they have high blood pressure until it is too late to do anything about it. Learning to control your high blood pressure or monitoring your blood pressure so you know if it is high will be a major saving factor against heart disease.

Electro-Stun Swatters

December 15th, 2005 by Anita in Miscellaneous Gadgets

swatter
There are three different styles of Electro-Stun Swatters so I thought I would tell you about of them at once since they all three swat down those ugly and nasty bugs without any type of mess for you clean up.

The different types are the Electro-Stun Swatter, Electro-Stun Swatter III, and the Rechargeable – Electro-Stun Swatter.

Now to explain the differences the Electro-Stun Swatter will of course kill all kinds of pests. All you have to do is flip the thumb switch and that will activate the pulsing electric field, then all you have left to do is swat that ugly buy. The buy will be fried instantly and they will be no mess. You can instantly kill such bugs like gnats, flies, mosquitoes, bees, wasps, and hornets. All you have to do is wave the swatter and keep a hold of the button and then release over the trashcan and that is it, the bugs are all gone. They just drop off into the trash. You will need two “AA” batteries and the price online is $8.75.

Bumper Dumper

December 15th, 2005 by Anita in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Vehicle Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

bumperdumper
Okay, I found this cool gadget on a vacation website, but thought it would be appropriate for the holiday season as well. If you are doing any type of traveling to visit relatives this season and you have children you will more than likely hear “I gotta go”. This can happen anytime and anyplace if you have kids in the car. They are notorious for waiting until you get in the car to let you know they need to go to the bathroom. The Bumper Dumper is your safety net!

Now, when you hear those words all you have to do is pull over, preferably in a inconspicuous place where there are not any cars zooming by and just out and use the Bumper Dumper.

You do not have to worry about finding a bush, a tree or anything else to hide behind and worry about all those creepy crawling insects. Girls especially do not enjoy to the bathroom outdoors. This will help you from stopping a million times unless you cannot find a quiet out of the way place.
