I’ve just started my Christmas shopping which is a great excuse to browse for cheap and original gadgets (not that I need an excuse), finding a gadget gift for gran mothers is pretty tricky but I reckon grand dads will appreciate this credit card sized tool kit.

The Tool Lite II (yet another version 2) measures a tiny 3 3/8″ x 2 1/4″ and is about 1/8″ thick (should that be thin) yet it still manages to pack in a decent assortment or useful (and not so useful) tools. The black casing is made from tough Zytel so will be able to take more hammering than the average credit card this season.

This is one game table that if you are anything like me and played foosball you are sure to enjoy. Surprisingly enough this could well be a contender for my personal “Coolest gadget of 2005″ even though it’s devoid of batteries and blinking lights. Why? Because it’s a stunning example of a simple, well thought out and above all useful application of technology and design.
