Wasp Knife injects ball of gas to freeze organs, sounds unpleasant

July 18th, 2008 by AndrewD in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Tech News

The Wasp Knife might be the least pleasant way to be stabbed to death, not that there is a pleasant method for doing so. Designed for use by hunters and divers as protection against bears and sharks, the specially designed knife has an exploding tip that injects a highly compressed ball of gas which freezes the victims organs in a radius about the size of a basketball.

While a knife with such awesome brutality might be great for protecting against the dangers of the wild, British officials are worried that the Wasp Knife might fall into the wrong hands. Result? People dying in pretty unpleasant ways. We can only imagine how bad it would suck to have a frozen bowel.

July 17th, 2008 by AndrewD in Miscellaneous Gadgets

Hippy, hippy, quite so trippy. How does your garden grow? You can’t help but think of nursery rhymes when the image of magical mushrooms and gardens are filling your head. Today seems like the day of mushroom mania. Earlier today we wrote about a Mushroom Desk Cleaner. While that product is not nearly as fun to mix into rhyming prose of happiness, it’s mushroom themed nevertheless.

And now we’ve found a truly psychedelic product. An integration of mushrooms which many of you might be much more familiar with. The Magic Mushrooms are solar powered LED lit lawn ornaments made to cast some light on your garden at night.

July 17th, 2008 by James in Miscellaneous Gadgets, Vehicle Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

Well, now there’s a company taking the next “logical” step by creating a flying dune buggy that does the same thing - kill a reckless driver and anyone else who is unfortunate enough to be on the ground when this 2,500 pound rock drops on their heads.

GO GO Gadget Shirt!

July 16th, 2008 by AndrewD in Miscellaneous Gadgets

Inspector Gadget is our hero. Take a second to revel in his memory. How cool was this fictional man? He had a gadget for every situation, all of which were voice activated and ready for duty at a moments notice. In a way, Inspector Gadget is the prototypical dream geek. He is a true gadget idol and a man among mere mortals.

A cartoon character is a sad person to look up to though. There is just no way to compete with someone as utterly cool as an animated geek. We can say “go-go-gadget!” as much as we want, and the truth is that nothing will happen, unless we’ve programmed one of our gadgets to answer to our commands. At least this Go Go Gadget Shirt tee allows us to hold a piece of the Inspector mythology close to our hearts.
