Batter Blaster, Better Breakfast in a Hurry?
It is breakfast time and you’re dying for pancakes. Too bad you’re in a hurry to get to get to work. You’d be really late if you had to mix the batter and cook them. Sure, there are frozen ones the store, but there’s just something wrong about sticking your pancakes in the microwave. Oh yeah, it’s that steamy rubbery taste. And in the toaster? You tear ‘em every time. What’s a pancake lover to do? Simple, heat up the griddle and pull out a can of Batter Blaster.

Hitachi LCD HDTVs go thin
Hitachi engineers have sent their new line of extremely thin LCD HDTVs to the fat house before releasing it to the masses, measuring a mere 1.5″ in thickness. This amazingly svelte LCD TV will definitely look good in any living room and will come in three sizes at first, measuring 32″, 37″ and 42″ with future iterations to be larger as time goes by. Dubbed the Ultra Thin series, these Hitachi offerings will hit the Japanese market in December 2007 while those living across the Pacific will have to wait until early next year – guess dads in the US won’t benefit from a new slim LCD HDTV this Christmas, eh?

Solar Powered Holiday Lights

If Alek used these he’d save a fortune, solar powered holiday lights.
I do like the idea of these and they offer a fair few benefits:
- Saves on the old electricity bill
- Don’t need to run a power cable out your letter box
- Doesn’t matter if you forget to turn them off when you go to bed.
You can buy the solar light set from Hammacher for $29.95, I’m starting to feel all Christmassy already.
TeleMax III combines remote and phone
The TeleMax III device combines the idea of a universal TV remote control and a hands free phone that targets living rooms in homes all over the world. The final product would come in a sleek, compact, and easy to use package, featuring a virtually unbreakable body (which works great especially in homes that have little kids who seem to have a penchant of destroying just about every single fragile item in your house) that is tough against accidental spills as well. The TeleMax III is shaped like a small tray, complete with handles on both sides that give you an easy grip as you go about pressing all the individual buttons contained on it. Your comfort is not compromised as it was designed to be ergonomic in nature.

TiVo Series 3 and HD gain bonus features

TiVo users are certainly in for a great time this holiday season, with TiVo announcing a slew of new features in addition to an eSATA storage device that was developed specifically for Series 3 and TiVo HD boxes. One of the more interesting releases include the TiVo Multi-Room Viewing (MRV) that enables viewers to watch their recorded TiVo shows across separate TiVo devices without being in the same room. In order to illustrate this situation, imagine recording an episode of Golden Girls in your living room, and then watching it on the TiVo in your bedroom just before you nod off in bed. I strongly suspect that hardcore TiVo fans will find this to be one of the best ways to record all their favorite shows, even when you might have to struggle with three or even four shows simultaneously (recording a couple per DVR in this case). MRV support will work with Series 2, Series 3, and TiVo HD boxes, although do be aware that recordings must be sent from a Series 3/HD box to the Series 2, and not otherwise. As for the Series 2, it won’t be able to handle HD content.

The 13 Amp Fuse Lamp

I’m not sure what fuses look like in the States but I’m sure our British readers will recognise the above pictures, the plain old 13 Amp fuse.
Unlike the traditional 13 Amp fuse these ones have been shot by an anti-miniturization gun and now stand a tall 33.5cm. Not only are they 10 times the standard height of a regular fuse but they also light up and can be used as a lamp.
The 13 Amp Fuse Light is available at Firebox for £69.95.
Coat Hanger Gorilla
Now isn’t this just precious – a gorilla made completely out of coat hangers. Kinda reminds me of a more beastly version of Pinhead from the Hellraiser series. At least you won’t have to go through the trouble of pointing out to your guests where exactly to hang their coats whenever they drop by your pad.
Family Guy Charg-Itz
The Family Guy Charg-Itz is a cradle that not only caters for cellphones, but it is compatible with iPods and other similarly sized electronics. It features a foam pressure securing mechanism to hold your charging device nicely in place while the charging cord runs through the bottom of the cradle, making your workspace all the neater. It retails for $9.99, and makes for a great gift for those who are forgetful of their belongings.
