The Egg Poaching Toaster

June 13th, 2006 by Al in Kitchen Gadgets

Egg Poaching ToasterIf you enjoy eggs and toast for breakfast then this has got to be the toaster of choice, the egg poaching toaster.

The egg poaching toaster will simultaneously tan your toast and cook your egg with a cooking time of 4 minutes. I never have time to cook breakfast in the morning so if I could load this up the night before and set it on a timer then I would eat at least one hot meal a day.

Solar Powered Helicopter

June 12th, 2006 by Al in Home Gadgets, Solar Powered Gear

Solar Powered Copter

This is a neat looking little ornament, it may look like a low tech wooden toy helicopter but it’s rotors are also solar panels. Leave the solar powered helicopter in sunlight and it’s rotors will spin around. They’ll never spin around fast enough for it to take off (shame) but it’s still pretty cool.

Available from Plastica (odd as it’s made of wood) found via Crib Candy.

Misting Fan Cooler

June 9th, 2006 by Al in Garden Gadgets

Misting FanI saw the patio misting system over on Uber Review which is cool but static (it gets hot at the end of my garden too, 4 days a year). If you need a mobile cooling system you can get a misting fan.

It boosts to reduce the temperature by up to 25 degrees and covers 950 square feet which is more than ample for my BBQ area and would probably cover the rest of my garden.

Available from Smart Home for just over $100, which in the UK would probably work out at $25 per day for how often we’d need it.

Plant Me Pets

June 7th, 2006 by Al in Garden Gadgets, Home Gadgets, Toys

Plant Me

These cute little figures could leave you in a quandary, do you keep them or plant them. The eyes on each figure are actually seeds and the body contains nutrients to help it grow. You can get a melon, tomato or pumpkin. Plant them or keep them, you decide :)

Plant Me Pets found via HippyShopper and Pop Gadget.
