Water Saving Urinal

June 19th, 2006 by Al in Home Automation, Miscellaneous Gadgets

Water Saving UrinalWe’ve written about artistic urinals, football urinals and even a urinal containing an LCD to pee on. In our ongoing quest for the coolest urinal we’ve finally come across one that is ecologically friendly.

According to Mister Miser toilet flushing accounts for 40% of domestic water usage. In order to minimise this they’ve come up with a system that only requires 10 ounces of water per flush. I couldn’t find much information on how the technology actually achieves this but as I live in area with a hose pipe at the moment saving water is pretty high on the agenda.

You can get further info (not a lot) and buy online from Mister Miser.

The Barbecue Belt

June 16th, 2006 by Al in Garden Gadgets, Kitchen Gadgets

Barbecue BeltIf you thought the barbecue apron wasn’t quite manly enough another solution is at hand (or should that be waist), the barbecue belt.

The barbecue belt has enough containers and compartments for all those essential condiments (adjustable sauce anyone) and BBQ equipment. It would make a great fathers day gift, though probably a bit late now.

The barbecue belt is no longer available, as an alternative check out the barbecue apron.

Tankards

June 16th, 2006 by Stephen in Drinking Gadgets, Garden Gadgets, Home Gadgets

Ice Tankard
With all this great weather we are having, there is nothing nicer than sitting in the garden, watching the world cup with an ice cold beer. Ideal at first but my beer starts to warm up quite quickly in the heat and I have to keep putting it in the fridge to cool it down before I drink anymore – Very frustrating when you hear Beckham near the goal posts.

Fireplace in your Kitchen Cabinet

June 15th, 2006 by Al in Kitchen Gadgets

Kitchen FireplaceI’m not sure if I’m keen on these or not, a fireplace in a kitchen cabinet just seems a little odd. You’ll have a cabinet of cans, followed by a cabinet of plates and then a kitchen cabinet with err fire in.

I do like the idea of a small fireplace embedded in a bedroom wall for that extra romantic feel (and cold winter nights) but kitchen cabinets, no (though it could grow on me).

Available from Fireplac Extrordinair, found on Trendir.

Microbe Soap DispenserHow do you get kids and blokes to wash their hands more often, either get an automatic soap dispenser or remind them why they need to wash. The Microbe Liquid Soap Dispenser is shaped like the Rhinovirus or to us not so smart folk the common cold molecule.

Use this cute dispenser to wash away the real one million times smaller rhinoviruses. Available from TG for 10 bucks.

June 14th, 2006 by Al in Audio/Video Gadgets, Home Gadgets

Mobi Mood LightsHere at CG we seem to come across quite a few color morphing lights, we’ve had eggs, Jellephish and bubbles. Another one to the party is the Hipper Mood Creator color morphing light, though this one is a bit different.
