Rex the electronic guard dog

March 21st, 2006 by Paz in Electronic Gadgets, Home Gadgets

Rex the elctronic guard dog

I hate dogs. Ok, so I’ve lost half of you already, and I’m sorry; but dogs are always trying to lick your face one minute, and sniff your private parts the next, and I hate that.

But if I don’t like dogs, burglars like them even less! There’s no doubting the deterrent effect of a big, mean hound in the home.

With Rex Plus, the electronic guard dog, you can have a pal to watch over the home that doesn’t need taking for walks, poop scooping etc.

Blue LED Faucet Light

March 15th, 2006 by Al in Home Gadgets

Blue Tap LED

Add a bit of color to your drab white bathroom with the help of colored water. The Blue LED Faucet Light gives water a blue neon like glow whenever the tap is turned on.

The faucet light fits on the nozzle of most standard US faucet fittings (taps to us UK folk) and works by detecting when water passes through the attachment. This then turns on an array of blue LEDs giving your water an electric blue hue.

It’s a novel idea and a bit more tasteful than those neon blue lights you see under some boy racer’s car. What would be really cool is if it changed color depending on the temperature of the water, with a red water flow to warn of scolding heat. Who knows, maybe version 2. The Blue LED Faucet Light is available from Think Geek for $14.99.

Deluxe Mini Fridge

March 12th, 2006 by Tiago in Home Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets

Deluxe Mini Fridge

Mini fridges are like the best creation after the wheel, or not…

If you are a lazy bum they will save you the work of going to the kitchen, or if you are a heavy drinker that does not want to get up and get another beer, you can easily place the fridge right next to your sofa so you’ll only have to move your arm. The other only possibility is being a heavy computer online geek that doesn’t want to interrupt the online sessions, which of them are you?

Well, this Deluxe Mini Fridge is awesome and will serve you right, it has some features that others minis lack like warming instead of chilling. Actually, what’s the use for that?!

The talking beer glass - your own bartender at home

March 11th, 2006 by Paz in Kitchen Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

Talking beer glass.

If like me, you enjoy the occasional glass of beer whilst watching a home movie or the football, then the talking beer glass is definitely for you.

This is a device that falls under the “cool gadgets you never knew you needed” category, which unfortunately we don’t have at coolestgadgets.com, so we’ve had to file it somewhat lamely under “whacky” and even worse; “kitchen”.
