Sexy Wood Furniture

July 5th, 2006 by Al in Home Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

Leg DrawI wouldn’t normally write the words sexy and furniture in the same sentence, but that’s exactly what this post is about Sexy Furniture.

Dutch designer Mario Philippona has a selection of wooden furniture that is carved to the shape of a naked woman’s legs. I’m not sure what sort of person would buy it but what ever floats your boat I suppose.

July 4th, 2006 by Al in Garden Gadgets, Home Automation

Remote Controlled Umbrella (Mark 2)It only seems like yesterday when reported on the remote control umbrella that you could open and close via a flick of a switch. Well that remote controlled umbrella has been well and truly put in the shade by this one.

Personal Computer Robots

July 3rd, 2006 by Randal in Home Automation, PC Gadgets, Tech News

PC Robot

White Box Robotics is gearing up for their first production run of
“personal computer robots.” They have neatly sidestepped the inevitable
question associated with home robots. No matter how cute the gyrations
or how engaging the “blips” and “bleeps” comes that dreaded pause, and
then:

“So, what does it do?”

Radio Toaster

June 30th, 2006 by Stephen in Electronic Gadgets, Kitchen Gadgets

Radio ToasterYou wake up in the morning, go into your kitchen, put the radio on and make your breakfast. Nothing wrong with that but what if you had a toaster, with a built in radio so you not only save time and energy, but you have more space in your kitchen!

Ok, it’s not the most needed item to buy for your kitchen. But it has definitely got the wow factor. Everyone who comes into your kitchen will dazzled by its unique structure and practicality. It will be the talking point of all your guests.

Inflatable Pincushions

June 29th, 2006 by Al in Home Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

PincushionIf you’re a dab hand at sewing and want to confuse your needlecraft friends this is the gadget to do it, the inflatable pincushion.

Made out of the same material and having the standard nossle of typical inflatables the pincushion magically doesn’t pop when you stick a needle in it. Well it’s not quite magic, it’s full of polyester instead of air but I’m sure it will fool a few or at least cause raised eyebrows.

The inflatable pincusion is available from Alesina Design, found via Crib Candy

XXL Solar Balls

June 29th, 2006 by Al in Garden Gadgets, Home Gadgets, Solar Powered Gear

Solar Balls

We’ve featured quite a few patio lighting solutions recently, my favourite was the tile lights until I saw these small giant orbs.

The solar powered spheres measure up to 19.7 inches (or 50cm in modern money) and can be set in single color or continual color cycling modes. They’re certain to make any garden an interesting illumination at night,

The spheres are available at Proidee with prices starting at £92.50.
