I saw the patio misting system over on Uber Review which is cool but static (it gets hot at the end of my garden too, 4 days a year). If you need a mobile cooling system you can get a misting fan.
It boosts to reduce the temperature by up to 25 degrees and covers 950 square feet which is more than ample for my BBQ area and would probably cover the rest of my garden.
Available from Smart Home for just over $100, which in the UK would probably work out at $25 per day for how often we’d need it.

These cute little figures could leave you in a quandary, do you keep them or plant them. The eyes on each figure are actually seeds and the body contains nutrients to help it grow. You can get a melon, tomato or pumpkin. Plant them or keep them, you decide
Plant Me Pets found via HippyShopper and Pop Gadget.

I don’t know why but we seem to be finding a few toilet related gadgets at the moment, we’ve had the travel mate, football seive, LCD Urinal etc. Today we came across Clark Sorensen who has done a range of urinals that look like flowers.

I can never find my car keys, my wallet and the TV remote control.
I probably spend hours every month looking for items around the home, and I’m sure many of you are often in a similar situation. In fact, I know I’m not the only person in the world with this problem, because now there’s an inexpensive gadget to help people quickly find important items by tagging them and using an RF locator to pinpoint their position in seconds.
I’m getting quite into home automation at the moment. I’ve just got a Roomba vacuum (blew it up on the first day so more to follow on that one) but disappointedly it cannot open doors, this is where this remote controlled swinging door could come in handy.
You attach the swinging door opener to to the top of your door (and wall). You are then able to open the door via remote control. This could be useful for disabled dwellings or just plain OTT in most houses. Still looks like a cool gadget to me though :).
Available from SmartHome but be warned it’s quite pricey. [Found via Gizmos for Geeks]

We wrote about the LED faucet light a while ago and as cool as it was I remember writing how it would be even cooler if the color of the light changed depending on the temperature of the water. We received a comment from the company Equa telling us that they have a product that does just that.
