Have fun at urinals
You know the saying, “piss drunk”? I guess with all that booze that goes down your throat during the next party, surely your liver and bladder would work overtime, helping to flush out whatever toxins that are in your body, not to mention making room for more of that poisonous (but intoxicating) stuff. Well, if knocking back pints is your favorite hobby, and you have a close knit group of friends who share the same sentiment, perhaps you can approach the management of your favorite watering hole in install a hands-free gaming cistern system, as what the gents section in the Exhibit Bar located in south London has done?
I know, this sounds rather silly, but hear me out for a while. Imagine building up all that liquid in your bladder, and you know for sure this is going to be a high pressure release the next time you unzip your fly, so why not make the most of it? What makes it more challenging is the fact that your motor skills would most probably be shot or affected already somewhat no matter how strong a drinker you are, so to gain the high score makes it all the more interesting. This hands-free gaming cistern system comprises of three games which we will look at in the extended post.

Nyko’s Power Grip for the 3DS
In addition to trying out the Zoom for the Kinect, the Nyko company was also kind enough to supply yours truly with the Power Grip for the 3DS. All mobile devices have a need for power, which is why companies keep making external batteries for them.
After all, everybody has a story about how the battery on their mobile device died at an important time. The Power Grip is for those who love the Nintendo 3DS, and it is designed to extend the battery by 300 percent.
One of the biggest problems with external batteries is that they tend to create too much volume on the mobile device itself. In the case of the Power Grip, it adds some ergonomics. I don’t know if your 3DS case will fit with it.

Nyko’s Zoom makes the Kinect better for smaller rooms
One of the things that is required of the Microsoft Kinect is that it requires some room between the user and the unit itself. I can honestly say that in my current living room space, the Kinect wouldn’t function at top capacity.
Nyko, makers of some quality video game merchandise, have figured out the problem and created the Zoom. The Zoom is “ideal for small rooms and confined spaces”, and allows the user to “play up to 40 percent closer”.
I realize that I am just quoting the company, but I had a chance to see it work at E3 last June. Not only can it allow for a player for less space, but two people can play in space where once only one could before.

Mario’s 3D world ends up at Times Square
New York’s Times Square has proved to be one of the more popular icons in the 20th and 21st century, notably for it hosting a classic New Year’s Eve party at the turn of 31st December every 365 days, give or take a day where leap years are concerned. Well, this chameleon-like venue looks set to thrill folks yet again – by bringing Mario’s 3D world into our reality. Yes sir, Japanese gaming giants Nintendo have certainly outdone themselves this time around, as New Yorkers were invited to ‘play’ inside Mario’s World as they had an intimate look at Super Mario 3D Land for the Nintendo 3DS.
After all, you can’t really tell how a person feels until you put yourself in his or her shoes, and what better way to understand how the rotund plumber’s life is like than to jump around in an actual 3D platformer? You not only get to enjoy life size warp pipes, trampoline coin jumps as well as a flag pole finale, you will also be able to enjoy a special opportunity that allows you to play Super Mario 3D Land ahead of its official release – which happens today, actually. What a great way to kick off Sunday as you laze around the home, guiding Mario through nefarious puzzles in a 3D environment.

OnLive brings video games to your home, disc-free
I have been on pins and needles all week as I finally got a chance to try out the OnLive. The OnLive is a cloud-based gaming system that allows the user to play the latest video games on your TV, PC, Mac, iPad, or Android tablet.
Not since I got the Atari 2600 in the early eighties have I been more excited about playing video games. The set up is simple, but I had to move my Wi-Fi access point closer to my TV in order to get it to work. The OnLive system comes with a base unit that connects to a television via HDMI, and then connects to a router.
From there, the user logs in and orders specific video games via an included wireless controller. The controller looks like a PS3 or Xbox 360 controller, and the gaming fun begins.

Kontrol Freeks offers better gaming control
Everyone loves to be in control – why else do you think those who sit in the backseat tend to shoot their mouth off, more often than not to the chagrin of the driver? Of course, when it comes to activities like video games, you cannot blame anyone else but yourself if you are not performing up to par – especially when your skill level with that of your opponent is on a similar plane. This is where hardware might make the difference, and for £11.99, you will be able to net yourself the Kontrol Freeks.
The FPS Freek PRESTIGE will come with silicone mushrooms that throw in additional length to the thumb sticks located on your controller, which in turn delivers a far greater range of movement so that you are able to gain more control over even the tiniest on-screen movements. Apart from that, the twin horns that are found on the Speed Freek components will enable faster thumb-stick twiddling. All you need to do is clip them on and your thumbs will remain put regardless of how much sweating they experience.

Plantronics Gamecom X95
Some of you might remember our review of the Gamecom 777 from Plantronics, and I got a chance to try out the Gamecom X95 for the Xbox 360.
The purpose of the Gamecom X95 is so that Xbox players can go with wireless headphones. What happens is the wireless transmitter connects via USB to the Xbox 360, and then sends a signal to the headphones. It isn’t completely wireless, as there is a wire to connect the controller to the headphones.
The end result is more immersive gaming with 40 mm speakers, and it has specially designed earpods and headband. The design is as sleek as it is comfortable, since the designed earpods redistribute the pressure around the ears.
