“Gadget Or The Girl” Seems Like An Easy Choice

Set your TiVo for the Playboy channel on Monday, September 1st, at 7:30 PM EDT. Let this be known that I’m not prescribing a recipe for a cheap soft-porn thrill, but a new reality show called Gadget or The Girl.
The premise of this show is exactly what the title suggests. The rules of the show is that a contestant is given his choice of three beautiful women, and he can take two of these women on a date. Eventually, he chooses one beautiful woman to spend the evening with, but there is one final choice after that.
The contestant is told that he can either go on a romantic getaway with his final choice, or take home a new gadget, presumably to keep. Like Let’s Make a Deal, the contestant will have no idea what’s in the box until they are willing to bet all.

Shocking Pen
April 1st might be done and over with, but that doesn’t mean you’ll have to put up a sour demeanor for the rest of the year. With this Shocking Pen, you can definitely get a few laughs in as you see curious colleagues pick up a pen that doesn’t belong to them only to receive a shock of their life!
The victim will then pick up the pen, and, without even a nub of conscious motion, their thumb will immediately migrate to depress the top of the pen in hopes of discovering a fine new writing instrument. Instead, as they depress, they will complete a circuit that creates a small magnetic field, which then simulates an alternating current and provides relatively high voltage to the depression point on the thumb. It all happens in a split second, as will the screech and instant profanity, but the office memories will last a lifetime…
It would be cooler if this pen actually contained some ink to write, but nevertheless it is the perfect “welcoming” trick for any new person to the office. $5.99 for some quick laughs (at other people’s expense) sounds like a pretty good bargain.
Snow Ball Maker
In a snowball fight, accuracy is not everything as you also need to have an abundant amount of ammunition to wear down the opposing team. With the Sno-Baller, things could turn the tide in your favor pretty soon.
The Sno-Baller turns out huge numbers of snowballs in seconds, so gloves stay drier and hands warmer, and you can fire away without running out — crucial in family and neighborhood snowball fights! Snow Block Maker forms perfect-sized chunks for snow forts and walls, and also works in sand at the beach. Injection-molded high-impact plastic.
Strangely enough, the product page can’t seem to load at the moment. Still, this sounds like an unfair advantage if you happen to indulge yourself in snowball fights.

Bittersweets for the Anti-Valentine
Unless you’re under a rock, you know Valentine’s Day is coming up. You can’t go into a store without seeing the acres of red and pink and hearts and all the other things that go along with this sappy holiday designed to sell boxes of candy and keep the greeting card industry afloat.
But what if you could give a crap about Valentine’s Day? Is there a “Bah Humbug” phrase for the anti-Valentine crowd? Or are you newly single and have a lot of angst for anything to do with this sickeningly sweet holiday? Well, have I got the thing for you.
Think Geek is selling Despair, Inc.’s (the creator of the fantastic Demotivators) Continue reading » Bittersweets. They have three different “themes”: Dejected, Dysfunctional, and Dumped. Reminiscent of the traditional candy hearts, these Bittersweets don’t have cutesy sayings like “BE MINE” or “LUV U”, but more sinister platitudes like “RATHER DRINK” and “TRADIN YOU IN”. Here’s the full list of each set: Bittersweets for the Anti-Valentine
USB Moo Moo

Some of you might be thinking that this some antiquated attire, but that is actually the USB Muumuu. Allow me to explain what the USB is, with an antiquated communication that lovers on a budget used to use.
When I was in college, I had a friend who had a boyfriend who lived far away. Well, it wasn’t too far away, but it was far enough to be long distance. Well, as you know, long distance calls are expensive, so one of them used to call, then promptly put the phone down, so the phone would ring once. Then the other would call, then hang up quickly, returning the one-ring with another one-ring.
I have no idea how this “one-ringer” tradition started between them, but I bring it up because that is what the USB Moo Moo is: an updated version of the one-ringer.
