Wacom has an Inkling for the future
The name Wacom is synonymous with digital tablets and sketch pads, and the company has its latest model for the masses announced recently – the Wacom Inkling. This spanking new digital sketch pen will be slightly different from your average digital tablet, as it will actually be able to capture a digital likeness of your work even when you sketch with Wacom’s provided ballpoint tip onto any sketchbook or standard piece of paper.
Yes sir, this is one model that targets those who are into rough concepting and creative brainstorming stages, where the Inkling intends to bridge the gap between paper sketching and digital drawing as it offers users at the beginning of the creative process a method to actually flesh out the ideas swimming in their heads on actual paper, while capturing those concepts digitally at the same time so that they can be further refined on a computer. This definitely beat the old school method of scanning your images onto a computer for inking and refinement later on.

Sceptre has new 32″ LED HDTV for the masses
You know that times are extremely hard these days especially on the economic front, and it makes perfect sense for us to look out for value-for-money bargains. HDTVs are dime a dozen in the market, and with more and more players entering the game, the industry has gotten a whole lot more competitive. Well, Sceptre is one of those names, and they have decided to grace the market with they spanking new 32″ LED HDTV model that will cater for the entry-level niche.
Also known as the Scpetre E325BV-HD, it has been touted to be the ideal companion in your living room – assuming you’re still using one of those fat, chunky CRTs or want to introduce yet another TV to your home. At least it isn’t that large so much so that it cannot fit into a cramped apartment without looking out of place.

Stem iZON Remote Room Monitor announced
Stem has just announced their iZON Remote Room Monitor – which does look like some sort of modern day droid who was programmed to watch over the room with its plethora of sensors. Actually, it isn’t (sorry for the disappointment!), and R2-D2 need not worry that he would be out of a job anytime soon. In fact, the Stem iZON Remote Room Monitor is actually an app-controlled video camera that will deliver live streaming of both audio and video to any iOS device from Apple – we are talking about having it sent to anywhere in the world.
iZON will, in fact, easily join most wireless networks in order to deliver secure remote monitoring over the free Stem:Connect App for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. Let iZON do all the watching and listening on your behalf, where it will inform you whenever it detects a motion or sound, sending such recordings over to a free, private YouTube account by itself – how smart is that? It makes me remember of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, where R2-D2 stood in Senator Amidala’s room to watch over her while she slept.

Shoot the clock first thing in the morning
We’ve seen our fair share of different and zany alarm clocks in the past, but here is something else that might interest you – an alarm clock which requires you to actually “shoot” it using the included gun remote. Yes sir, this £22.95 alarm clock allows you to literally shoot the time – whenever it rings, of course. How does it work? Well, the alarm clock itself is constructed from an amalgamation of metal and plastic, where the accompanying plastic toy gun will stop the car alarm noise whenever you point the toy gun at the taxi on the alarm clock.
The whole idea behind this? To make sure you are awake enough to be able to turn off an alarm clock, whereby in the process you won’t go back to sleep, of course. Would be nicer if you could replace the image of the car with a photo of your nemesis, no? This particular purchase might cost you a bit more than usual in the long run, especially when you need a trio of AA batteries for the alarm clock and a couple of AA batteries for the toy gun. I would highly recommend rechargeables to go along with this though.
Parrot Asteroid for portable entertainment on the road
It seems that the Internet is more or less everywhere these days – even when you are driving around in your car, you cannot get rid of the presence of the Internet – although GPRS and EDGE connectivity might be in store for places which are more rural and have yet to establish 3G support. Well, Parrot, the name synonymous with wireless peripherals for smartphones and cell phones has just announced their latest model – the Parrot Asteroid, which is the next generation of car receivers that merge advanced hands-free telephony with access to web services for the first time ever.
The Parrot Asteroid will be able to steer the future of Internet right in the comfort of the car, where it is a solution specially concocted to adapt to aftermarket and OEMs. This is also the first car receiver worked on by Parrot, where it will be powered by Google’s Android operating system. The moment it is hooked up to a GPS dongle (which comes along with the product) and a 3G key (that is unfortunately, not provided), to allow it to access various innovative web services.

Robotector iPhone Cases
If you want an iPhone case that is not so ear-catching – or rather, eye-catching, then the range of Robotector iPhone Cases will definitely do the job, and do it well, of course. Retailing for $24.99 a pop, this particular iPhone case does somewhat function in the same manner as that of a Terminator skin for your iPhone. Made out of tough and durable silicone, it is perfect to keep your precious handset protected against any future robot uprisings!
The arms on this particular iPhone case makes sure that you will always have an adequate enough grip on it so that during those hour long conversations with your other half who resides a few thousand miles away, you will always have a sure grip on it, never letting your sweaty palms get in the way of it even once. Even better is the ability to juice up your precious iPhone without having to remove the case, making this a buy worth considering if you have yet to pick up an iPhone case.
Thumbs Up Ear iPhone case
If you happen to be one of the millions around the world who owns an iPhone, then surely you would not have left it at that – all alone without a case at all, nor a protective screen cover of sorts to make sure that no scratches will mark it when you drop your precious phone or knock it against something else by accident.
Well, why not make a meal out of the entire situation with the Thumbs Up Ear Case for the iPhone? This is definitely not the chic-est case out there, but it will definitely be able to draw attention towards you whenever someone stumbles upon you talking on it.
Out later this September, this is definitely one of the more audacious auditory accessories to be released upon the mass market, and you can say that it has been designed for users with ears of all sizes. Out later this September from Urban Outfitters for £12.99, are you willing to give it a go?
Frolicat Bolt Laser Cat Toy
You know how cats love to chase stuff, whether it is alive or inanimate – here is something that might just keep your kitten (and adult cats, of course) occupied for hours on end – with the Frolicat Bolt Laser Cat Toy. As you can tell by its name, this device will project a red dot (somewhat similar to how those laser pointers work) onto the surface where you point it to, and see your kitty go nuts trying to track it down only to realize that it cannot be “killed” or “maimed”.
You can opt to use it manually where you dish out the dose of frustration, or set it on automatic mode and see it deliver hours of fun for your favorite feline. All you need to do to have it work on its own would be to place it on a flat surface and turn it on. The Bolt will turn off by itself automatically after a 15 minute session, and make sure you have a quartet of AA batteries hanging around always to keep it juiced up.
I’m not quite sure whether Jon would fork out $19.99 for the Frolicat Bolt Laser Cat Toy when Garfield’s birthday rolls around…
