How many of us, due to the excitement associated with the holiday season and a lack of planning skills have decorated the Christmas tree, taking up to half a day at times, only to find that we have placed it right in front of the power outlet located at some obscure corner? This has more often than not caused us to contort our bodies in ways we never knew possible to turn the power switch on. All that can be a thing of the past with the Intella Voice Dimmer. This unique device uses simple voice commands to turn the tree on as well as other holiday lights on and off.

Most dog owners love taking care of their pets because they don’t answer back and are extremely loyal despite putting up with all your bad traits. Unfortunately, not every single one of us are able to own a dog due to limited financial ability as well as the lack of time for pampering our beloved pooch. Thankfully, there is always a digital alternative (isn’t that the case these days) with the Password Puppies from Crazy Gadgets. Retailing for £14.95 a pop, these electronic pets come in a handheld format with five buttons with different functions making up the shape of a paw. Since it is an electronic pet, there is no need to clean up after your mutt or apologize to visitors for chewed up shoes and slippers.

It’s what you’ve been waiting for! A Tiny Helicopter that’s awesome! (and affordable). Big hint here, Read the full review!
Pro’s:
1. It is fun! It is a real kick to fly something inside the house, it’s just what your mom told you never to do, and there you are doing it, and not destroying anything! Wheee!!
2. It is affordable (if you go to the right place). Apparently, the right place is HobbyTron and it’s for the right price 39.00$ and shipping,, really! Everything you need is right there out of the box!! (other places are charging 99$ and more, why?! Go to Hobbytron!)
3. Most of all, IT REALLY WORKS!!! nuff said.
Cons:
1. You will not soon be referred to as T.C.
2. It is easy to “play with” but difficult to “control well”. I HIGHLY advise downloading the Advanced tuning
guide from Hobbytron (they’ve done some work for you!) and applying the metal “weights” right away (they’re REALLY Light but do help a bit). Additionally,, PRACTICE!
3. You will still need real helicopter lessons if you want to fly the Pope around.
Seriously though (ok, when am I ever serious) this thing is fun. Setup is as easy as can be.
Warm your tush with the Club Seat
December 7th, 2006 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets
You know how it is during winter, the weather is extremely cold, and when you head out to a stadium or park and plant your bottom onto a bench, you just get that tingling sensation right down from your spine up to your head, and we’re not talking about being electrified by crossing eyes with the lady of your dreams. It is actually the sheer cold that makes you uncomfortable, and ironically you would have to use your body warmth to heat up that particular spot for some time before it actually becomes seatable, for the lack of a word. Since most public open air places do not come with a power outlet, there is no way you can plug in a USB-powered seat warmer, which is why there is a heated stadium seat that comes in the form of the Club Seat.
MediaREADY MC Digital Home Entertainment Center
December 6th, 2006 by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets
Those who have been to their friends’ pads and discovered the joys of a Media Center PC will definitely go home and break open the piggy bank to see how much money is required in order to purchase a unit for yourself. The majority of Media Center PCs currently run on Microsoft’s Windows XP Media Center Edition, but the MediaREADY MC Digital Home Entertainment Center offers something very different. It uses its very own feature-rich software suite that was designed specifically for use on a television set, throwing some conventional computer interfaces out of the window (pardon the pun).
It’s soft, it’s comfortable, it IS it’s own pocket,, it’s a Keyboard?! The Carrypad Elekson Keyboard.
December 6th, 2006 by Fred in Electronic Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets, PC GadgetsIt doesn’t fall down stairs, alone OR in pairs. However, it sure is a slinky little number!
The Carrypad from Elekson seems like a real winner in the “also serves as a keyboard for any device that can receive bluetooth category.”
The advantage here being, if the device you’re syncing with is very small, (Palm, Smartphone, UMPD, or a Bluetooth based Viking named Sven that can decipher bluetooth in his head), then this is the item for you! With the exception of Sven (he scares me) you can place them inside the pouch that is part of the Carrypad and protect your tiny machine while bringing along a full size keyboard.
Yes, not everyone has a tiny device that can utilize this power, but what about those little phones with bluetooth people?! You know you sit there with your bluetooth enabled Treo and wonder aloud, “If I only had tiny tiny hands with which to type upon my lovely device, I’d never need another computer.”
Rather than wallow away tears on that tack, why not go for the Carrypad, and relieve your burden in the opposite direction. A FULL size keyboard is just what you need, you’ve already got the computing power you need, all that is missing is a decent ergonomic answer, and here it is right in front of you!

Sofa Guard shocks pet into submission
December 5th, 2006 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets, Home Gadgets, Pet Gadgets
There is nothing quite like returning home from work after a stressful day at the office, only to unwind on your favorite sofa. Unfortunately, the not-too-bright mutt of yours has cheerfully usurped your throne without your consent, raising your blood pressure yet another notch as you try to reclaim your rightful place without a raised voice. Why not put the Pavlovian principle to the test with the Sofa Guard? Not only do you ensure your throne back home remains YOUR exclusive spot, it will also teach your pet even if you’re not around not to mess with his master’s La-z-Boy.
Parrot Photo Viewer aka Digital Frame
December 3rd, 2006 by Tiago in Electronic Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets
If all the previous digital frames we have mentioned are not good enough for you, maybe one produced by Parrot – a popular French company that makes bluetooth products for cars and home use - will make you feel better.
Sadly, it doesn’t feature Wi-Fi and the great RSS detail for Flickr (like this one) that most people admire, but it can still be considered an average digital photo frame. Read the rest of this entry »
