If you went to your wallet right now and pulled out every single card in there, be it a debit/credit card, bank card, grocery card, library card, school ID, etc. you’ll probably find you’ve got quite the collection. The iCache aims to reduce all that clutter in your wallet by combining every single one of those cards into one little device, sounds cool, eh? And no, there’s not a built-in speaker that will play your iPod on this gadget, sorry to bum you out.

January 18th, 2007 by Mike in Electronic GadgetsMomento - Digital Photo Frame By i-Mate
January 18th, 2007 by Tiago in CES 2007, Electronic Gadgets, Home Gadgets, Photography
First of all, before talking about the newest Digital Photo Frame that I found, I would like to say that we have reached the point of exhaustion on the digi frames topic, this is the item number 10 and as always here is a preview of the other frames we talked about:
- 1 - Picture Keyring
- 2 - Digital Photo Keychain
- 3 - Yet Another Digital Picture Frame
- 4 - Wi-Fi Gmail / Flickr Enabled Picture Frame
- 5 - NuVue Digital Photo Frame
- 6 - Parrot Photo Viewer
- 7 - Ality Pixxa LCD Frame
- 8 - PictureBook Digital Album
- 9 - King Jim Digital Frame
Second of all, Momento is the name of the frame (momento is actually a word in the Portuguese language, it means moment when translated to English) that was presented during the greatest electronic show event a.k.a. CES 2007.
Third of all, this is the 2nd digital frame that I found that features RSS technology so you can actually have awesome new photos everyday by synchronizing with Flickr Read the rest of this entry »
NOOooo Karaoke for Your iPod - iKaraoke
January 17th, 2007 by Al in Electronic Gadgets, iPod gadgets
I generally walk out of a pub when I see a sign saying “Karaoke Tonight” (though I did participate and embarrass my daughter on holiday by shouting along to “I did it my way” (which seemed kind of appropriate)). Anyway you can now “enjoy” Karaoke with your favourite music player thanks to the the iKaraoke for your iPod.
Other than the fact it encourages Karaoke the iKaraoke is pretty cool. It connects to your iPod in the usual manner and can transmit your warbling voice via FM to the stereo. The clever bit is the removal of the original vocals, it detects which sound waves are the vocals and removes them from the transmission, leaving you to kill the track on your own.
The iKaraoke is available from Firebox for £29.95 and I suppose the one consolation is it restricts the pain to the bedroom.
Digital Photo Frame By King Jim
January 15th, 2007 by Tiago in Electronic Gadgets, Photography
The most recent digital photo frames have come a long way since they were first introduced in the market like 1 or 2 years ago, and it seems like there is a non-stop production of these kind of products which is good because it gives consumers more options to purchase a cool digi frame.
With that in mind it is time to present the 9th Digital Frame here at CG - in case you missed the previous 8 here they are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
This latest frame comes from Japan, it is called DP01-65-WH and was developed by King Jim. To create a difference from all the other digi frames, the company decided to add sound and therefore added speakers so mp3 files can be played easily, another interesting point is the readjustment of a photo’s size if it is bigger than 1,200 x 1,200 pixels, and last but not least, the other difference from main digital frames is that this one can be placed on the wall.

IntelliScanner Mini helps your organize your life
January 15th, 2007 by Mike in Electronic Gadgets, Home Gadgets, PC Gadgets, Software
Keeping my E-mail, music, video, and photos organized is pretty easy, it just takes a few minutes of setting up different folders on my hard drive or, in some cases, just opening up iTunes or Gmail. As far as anything non-digital goes, forget it, I couldn’t tell you where half of the stuff I own is. Cataloging your entire wine collection, comic collection, book library, and games isn’t exactly something you want to do by hand. Looking up the ISBN number of 50 different books on Amazon isn’t the ideal way to spend a Saturday. What you could do is use the new IntelliScanner Mini to scan the barcodes of all of your items and have them be indexed automatically.

Apple’s new Airport Extreme Router
January 14th, 2007 by Mike in Electronic Gadgets, PC Gadgets, Tech News
Steve Jobs just announced the iPhone, a product pretty much everyone in the entire world knows about due to it being on just about every newspaper, news show, and website within a day or two. But another product, besides the Apple TV, was also put out: the new AirPort Extreme, Apple’s own wireless router. This next generation AirPort uses the 802.11 draft-n standard, which provides up to 2x the range and 5x the speed of 802.11g, the older standard. That’s cool and all, but there’s some more to this router that makes it even cooler.

MFUEL - The Way Chargers Should Be
January 9th, 2007 by Al in CES 2007, Electronic GadgetsThis is a simple, exceedingly obvious and about time kind of gadget, the MFUEL series consolidates multiple chargers into one device (well one device with multiple changeable connections as manufactures just like to be different).
