June 5th, 2007 by Andi in Electronic Gadgets, PC Gadgets, Tech News

Most of you already know that Asus manufactures just about anything, from computer cases to high-end designer laptops.
the new asus eee
Since Palm has started going downhill, we have all been awaiting a launch, that has ultimately proven itself to be useless and uninspired. So uninspired in fact that we didn’t even cover it.

This time, Asus has announced a device that will render the Foleo obsolete and pose a better (and commercially available) alternative to the OLPC for all of us drooling after it.

Portable USB Shredders allow you to shred on the go

June 5th, 2007 by James in Conceptual Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets, Spy Stuff, USB Gadgets, Vehicle Gadgets

Handheld USB shredder

There’s USB power for just about everything these days. So, when we found the Portable USB Paper Shredder by Kinlan Industrial it wasn’t that too suprising. But it is very helpful for those who travel for a living.

People who deal with sensitive information on the go really need a means to destroy documents without having to lug around a shredder that has to plug into a wall socket. Weighing in at a svelte 12 ounces and fitting in the palm of your hand, the Portable USB Paper Shredder can either run on four AA batteries, AC adapter or the USB power from a laptop/PC. Now that’s flexibility. It can also shred standard documents with it’s 10 inch length.

Red Zune hitting the streets soon

June 5th, 2007 by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets

red-zune.jpgA watermelon red Zune is on the cards this June 10th, a full seven months after the red iPod was introduced to the world. Unfortunately, a new color just won’t push the Zune to hit a hundred million in sales, giving Microsoft no chance in this round to catch up with Apple. Other than the change in color, everything else about this red Zune remains the same hardware-wise, leaving little to the imagination.

June 5th, 2007 by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets

oticon-epoq.jpgFolks suffering from hearing loss might have the benefit of wearing a pair of hearing aids, but then the technology inside is not as advanced to give the best listening experience possible. The Opticon Epoq Bluetooth hearing aid is miles ahead of the competition, featuring wireless technology that enables the transfer of sounds up to 100 times faster than standard hearing aids, whilst offering seamless integration with cellphones and other compatible devices for unprecedented ease of use. Get the message across with Roadmaster

June 4th, 2007 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets, Vehicle Gadgets

scrollmaster.jpg

Cars these days are no longer means of transport, but they have more or less become a fashion statement as people pimp up their rides at one extreme end, while others perform just minor modifications such as a change in rims. Auto accessory manufacturer Roadmaster USA has just unveiled a couple of scrolling message car systems to help you get the message across to other drivers. One of them is the scrolling Digital License Plate Frame while the other is a scrolling Rear Deck Message System, and either one retails for $60.

Reactee custom T-shirt evokes reaction

June 4th, 2007 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets

reactee.jpg

Reactee is a company offering a totally unique service - the ability for people to text a special keyword printed on your custom T-shirt to a designated number in order to receive a pre-programmed reply. This looks set to be a new long lasting fashion trend among the young, as the older generation will probably pooh pooh this as yet another fad.

String Thing Limbo gets you down

June 4th, 2007 by Edwin in Electronic Gadgets, Home Gadgets, Wacky Gadgets

string-thing-limbo.jpg

How many of you guys actually heard of limbo? The dance, not the place. Limbo involves grooving to a pretty funky tune while attempting to go underneath a bar without knocking it over, and each successful attempt results in the bar being lowered. I suppose this was the domain of the baby boomers, but apparently technology has progressed far enough for it to catch up with something as simple as limbo. The String Thing Limbo is a device that comes with a 7 foot string which is illuminated via the built-in backlight for you and your mates to have fun even in the middle of the night.

Soban carries photos on a keychain

June 2nd, 2007 by Edwin in Audio/Video Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets

soban-photo-keychain.jpg

Forget about carrying your family’s photo in a wallet - that’s old hat in this day and age. Soban from Korean company Narae has unveiled a tiny digital photo album that can be hooked up to your bunch of keys for convenience’s sake. A small screen is enough to parade pictures of your entire family across three generations with room to spare for vacation photos as well. The Soban has a memory capacity of up to 7,000 images (presumably reduced to the screen’s native resolution).
