Chill Stick Six-Pack Cooler

April 18th, 2008 by Mark R in Drinking Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets

Chill Stick

Every once in a while, someone invents something that he or she can only hope will catch on. This is the case of the Chill Stick, a cooler that thinks it’s a pool-cue holder.

The Chill Stick allows the user to store an entire six-pack of beer in its roll-shaped package. I’m sure the Chill Stick can store 12 ounce cans of other liquids, but I’m guessing beer will be the transported beverage of choice amongst Chill Stick owners. I mean, this product just screams: “if you could put all the beer that I’m going to drink tonight into one glass, it would be this tall”.

I’m also guessing that the primary use of the Chill Stick will be a method to smuggle booze into certain places, even though it is against the rules. Security officials will probably get wise to this form of beer transport.

This coffee cup loves you

March 17th, 2008 by Chris in Conceptual Gadgets, Drinking Gadgets

Cup of love

I’m not a coffee drinker, I really can’t stand the stuff. I prefer to take my caffeine in Mountain Dew form. Frankly it tastes much better, and you don’t have to deal with those nasty coffee grinds at the bottom of the cup. Of course, that also means that I don’t ever have a reason to buy cool coffee mugs like this one.

Trekstor holds data, opens beer bottles

March 10th, 2008 by Edwin in Drinking Gadgets

trekstor.jpgNow this is definitely one of the more useful drinking gadgets that I’ve come across in a long time, especially when I keep myself entertained in front of the PC with some pizza and beer in hand. No longer do I need to take a walk to the kitchen to pick up a bottle opener, as this Trekstor USB flash drive will be able to do that for me. You won’t find me complaining about the 8GB worth of storage space inside, either. No idea on how much it costs though.

Temperature changing mug might not be useful, but is still cool

March 7th, 2008 by Chris in Drinking Gadgets, Miscellaneous Gadgets

Hot Cold Mug

I must be dehydrated, because I’m writing about another drinking-related gadget. This one is a bit more simplistic than the single-serve blender I spoke of earlier. Some people tend to burn their hands (or tongues) on hot coffee or hot chocolate, which is never fun. Other times you’ll leave a cup sitting around for longer than you realize, then take a swig of a disgustingly-cold drink. That’s never fun. This simple mug makes it blindingly obvious how warm your drink is.

NDrive G400 PND knows when you’ve had one too many

February 21st, 2008 by Mark R in Drinking Gadgets, GPS gadgets

NDrive G400 PND

Every once in a while, some new gadget comes along that is so obvious that you have to wonder why someone else didn’t invent it.

The NDrive G400 PND is one such device. At first, the NDrive G400 looks like any other Personal Navigation Device. It has a 3.5 inch screen that is completely touch-friendly, along with the usual application menu of a GPS.

What makes the G400 stand out is that one of the applications is a breathalyzer test. That’s right, a device that helps you drive can actually recommend that you don’t drive. All you need to is touch the application, wait for it to calibrate, and then literally blow into the device itself.

Soda-Club DIY drinking gadget

February 14th, 2008 by Edwin in DIY Gadgets, Drinking Gadgets

sodaclub.jpgIf you are a huge soda lover (in more ways than one) and would like to try something ecologically friendly, the Soda-Club could be your ticket.

Americans who have resolved to be more eco-friendly, or to drop a few pounds (or both!) can kill two birds with one stone with Soda-Club. This cool do-it-yourself gadget comes with reusable carbonating bottles, which you fill with good old tap water to make soda, seltzer, or virtually any kind of carbonated drink. If Soda-Club makers are used to make just half of the soda or seltzer the average American consumer drinks in a year, a family of four can reduce their use of throwaway single-serve beverage containers by 1,000 every year.

No only is the Soda-Club good for the earth, it also helps watch out for your waistline as all its mixes are free from high-fructose corn syrup, which amounts to two-thirds less the calories, sugar and carbs than store-bought soda.

Yuno PC Concept

February 10th, 2008 by Edwin in Conceptual Gadgets, Drinking Gadgets, Electronic Gadgets, PC Gadgets

yuna-pc-concept.jpg

Check out the Yuno PC concept that will definitely be a hit with caffeine addicts worldwide – this PC mug not only holds your favorite coffee beverage inside, keeping it warm while you go through essential morning alerts such as weather, time, traffic and stocks on its touch screen display. I presume that data is transferred wirelessly, but it ought to come with much more bulk considering how you have to power the display and processor within.
