The Tote-A-Keg Portable Draught System

July 18th, 2006 by Randal in Drinking Gadgets

Behold - Tote-A-Keg! Summertime is in full swing in my part of the world and that means outdoor BBQs and get-togethers. There are a few things that can transform you from mooching slob into next-door legend when showing up at a neighborhood cookout; bringing a large slab of pre-rubbed ribs, a nice spicy homemade sauce or a cooler full of beer. To elevate yourself beyond legend status, bring the Tote-A-Keg, a portable draught beer system that holds 2.5 gallons of your finest homebrew. You will instantly be deified – grown men will speak of you in hushed and reverent tones. Now is the time to get yourself a compound and a nutty philosophy because anywhere you take this thing will produce instant followers.

Automatic Wine Bottle Opener

June 22nd, 2006 by Al in Drinking Gadgets, Kitchen Gadgets

Automatic Wine Bottle OpenerThis is one phallic looking kitchen gadget, the new and improved Venus Rechargeable Automatic Wine Bottle Opener.

The Venus is capable of de-corking 40 bottles on a single charge. Simply rest it on the neck of the bottle, flick the switch and it will extract the cork, flick the switch in the opposite direction and it will spit it back out. This has got to be the laziest bottle opener ever (short of getting a waiter to do it).

Available from After5 for $49.99 [found via Crib Candy]

Ice Luge Drinking Game

June 17th, 2006 by Al in Drinking Gadgets

Ice Luge

This is an interesting looking drinking game for those hot summer days, the Party Ice Luge.

In order to play Party Ice Luge you need to fill included container with water, freeze it. Once frozen you have 2 luge runs to pour the beverage of your choice down and find 2 victims friends to slurp the ice cold drink as it exits the luge. Okay it’s not really game but I’m sure it will be pretty entertaining after you’ve had a few goes.

The Party Ice Luge is available from Firebox.

June 16th, 2006 by Stephen in Drinking Gadgets, Garden Gadgets, Home Gadgets

Ice Tankard
With all this great weather we are having, there is nothing nicer than sitting in the garden, watching the world cup with an ice cold beer. Ideal at first but my beer starts to warm up quite quickly in the heat and I have to keep putting it in the fridge to cool it down before I drink anymore – Very frustrating when you hear Beckham near the goal posts.
